Resumo: This dissertation aims to develop an analysis of journalistic sources, information channels, rhetorical strategies, and media framing applied by the newspaper Correio do Estado in covering cases of violence against women at the regional level in Mato Grosso do Sul during the years 2020 and 2021. The goal is to comprehend the explicit and implicit power dynamics in constructing news related to the socio-cultural characteristics of the region. For the analysis, the chosen approach is the multimodal framing analysis model developed by authors Wozniak, Luck, and Wessler (2014), with an adaptation of the proposed levels for the specific needs of this research. One of the outcomes observed is a lack of exploration for statements originating from sources not officially recognized, mainly due to the prevalent use of secondary and official sources, such as law enforcement authorities responsible for investigating cases of violence. Primary sources, like survivors and victims' family members, are seldom mentioned.

Primary sources, like survivors and victims' family members, are seldom mentioned.Esta dissertação visa desenvolver uma análise das fontes jornalísticas, dos canais de informação, das estratégias retóricas e das características e enquadramento midiático aplicadas pelo jornal Correio do Estado na cobertura dos casos de violência contra mulheres em nível regional, em Mato Grosso do Sul, nos anos de 2020 e 2021, para compreender as dinâmicas de poder explícitas e implícitas na construção das notícias em relação às características socioculturais da região. Para o desenvolvimento optou-se pela utilização do modelo de análise de enquadramento multimodal, desenvolvido pelos autores Wozniak, Luck e Wessler (2014), com uma adaptação dos níveis propostos para análises que se fazem necessárias nas especificações desta pesquisa. Como um dos resultados, observa-se uma falta de pesquisas por declarações que não provenham de fontes oficialmente reconhecidas, principalmente devido à predominância do uso de fontes secundárias e oficiais, como as autoridades policiais encarregadas de investigar casos de violência.
