This essay has the object to analyze which are the consequences of the occurring changes in the labor and social world, in the work of the professionals of the CRAS and CREAS of the city of Cuiaba. For such, we have considered the transformations on the work world since 1970; and the analysis about the State in this current phase of the capitalism, putting in this context the situation of the politics of the social work. Regarding the methods, the qualitative research was based on the primary and secondary sources, the latter being the literature and articles concerning the subject, and the documentary, with research reports and another documents that could contribute to the contextualization of the study object. We sought for references about the organization of the production and labor under the model of the flexible accumulation, the neoliberal state, the social politics of the social assistance, the work of the social worker in this corporate context, specifically on the Sistema Único de Assistência Social, mainly the ones that deal with the precariousness of and on the work of the social worker on the Suas. As the primary sources we’ve utilized semi-structured interviews, performed with the professionals of the Social Work, being twelve of them of the CRAS and one of the CREAS of Cuiabá. Therefore, it was possible to identify that beneath the form of organization e management of the work on the model of flexible accumulation, the intervention of the social workers reflects this transformations on and of the work, and those macro societal that affects directly on the State and social politics.
