Resumo: | In recent decades the society has witnessed a major technological leap in production and miniaturization of electronic devices, with a signicant impact on people's daily lives. This advance was based on research in Physics of Condensed Matter, in which the Physics of Semiconductor Materials and Devices has a prominent position. In this context, the theoretical and experimental description of carriers transport in low-dimensional systems, which are the cornerstone of the construction of an electronic device, is of great importance. In this work, we present a theoretical research of electron transport in semi-conductor systems formed by quantum wires blocked by barriers and slits potentials, and also, branched quantum wires based on multi-channels output for electron. The applied theoretical model is based on the numerical solution of the time dependent Schrödinger equation, account for the eective mass approach, the envelope wave function mathematical formalism and technique based on operators separation, namely split-Operator. The wave packet kinetic energies values range from 70 to 200 meV. We are aiming to investigate the dynamics of electron transport and scattering eect produced by potential obstruction and the device geometry. The quantum wires are formed by semiconductor materials with a 10 nm width, wich the potentials are like-connement potential along the y direction and simple barrier, single and double slit along the x direction. Branched quantum wires are formed by one channel for electrons input and for three channels for electrons output. |
