Com os avanços tecnológicos frequentes, o aço está sendo utilizado com mais frequência devido a sua trabalhabilidade e rapidez de execução. A partir da década de 1980 no Estado de Minas Gerais, as construções estruturadas em aço vêm ganhando amplitude e se tornando usuais frente aos empreendedores de natureza estatal e privada, principalmente em edifícios comerciais de andares múltiplos, shoppings, edifícios institucionais e também em alguns projetos habitacionais de caráter social. Com o aumento desta demanda industrializada vieram benefícios de rapidez e agilidade de execução, porém veio também a sistematização, gerando uma repetição projetual principalmente em edifícios educacionais causando repetidamente um ambiente desconfortável. Neste sentido estão sendo realizados vários estudos de avaliação pós-ocupação e desempenho térmico e acústico no Brasil, para que se possam estabelecer diretrizes de projetos e ou até mesmo chamar a atenção para as más condições dos edifícios educacionais no Brasil. Para tanto, este trabalho tem como objetivo estudar o conforto térmico, acústico e de pós-ocupação nas salas de aula, da Faculdade de Ciências Biológicas do UnilesteMG por meio de entrevistas com questionários com os usuários, medições in loco e simulações numéricas. Visto que a edificação está inserida em uma cidade quente,faz-se um diagnóstico da situação atual da edificação e propõe-se estratégias para melhorar o desempenho geral da edificação, tais como ventilação e sombreamento. Os resultados mostram uma condição de desconforto térmico e também problemas de ruído vindo dos ventiladores, ligados por conta da condição térmica interna. As estratégias propostas melhoram o desempenho térmico e amenizam as condições térmicas, principalmente. Estas estratégias quando combinadas, ventilação e sombreamento, promovem uma redução de até 14 % na temperatura média e 18 % na temperatura máxima no período de verão.Researchers and professionals in the area of civil construction have questioning the erformance of constructed environments. With the frequently technological advances, the steel is being used more often due to its workability and speed of execution. Starting from the 1980s in the state of Minas Gerais, the constructions structured in steel are gaining magnitude and becoming regular to the entrepreneurs of state and private nature, especially in commercial buildings of multiple floors, shopping malls, institutional buildings and also in some housing projects of social character. With the rise of this industrialized requirement came the benefits of speed and agility of execution, but it also came the systematization, creating a repetition of projects, mainly in educational buildings, repeatedly causing an uncomfortable environment. In this sense there are several studies of post-occupancy evaluation and its thermal and acoustic performance being conducted in Brazil, so that they can establish guidelines for projects and or even draw attention to the poor conditions of educational buildings in Brazil. Therefore, this work aims to study the thermal, acoustic comfort and post-occupancy in the classrooms, of Faculdade de Ciências Biologicas (School of Biological Sciences) of UnilesteMG by means of interviews with questionnaires with users, in loco measurements and numerical simulations. Since the building is placed in a hot climate city, it makes a diagnosis of the buildings current situation and offers strategies to improve the overall performance of the building, such as the ventilation and shading.
