Departamento de Filosofia, Instituto de Filosofia, Arte e Cultura, Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto.A presente pesquisa apresenta uma análise exegética de dois textos fundamentais que estão presentes na primeira fase do pensamento de Nietzsche, explorando a relação entre o problema da verdade, o conhecimento histórico e o esquecimento. Na primeira parte, a pesquisa investiga o problema do impulso à verdade e sua relação com o impulso artístico, enfatizando a crítica nietzschiana ao conceito de verdade como conformidade. Neste contexto, o filósofo propõe uma noção de verdade e conhecimento mais pragmáticos e, portanto, vinculados à vida. A segunda parte da pesquisa aborda o conhecimento histórico à luz de suas vantagens para a vida. Neste ponto, a crítica de Nietzsche se dirige contra a ideia de conhecimento puro, rejeitando a mera erudição. O autor propõe uma relação com o conhecimento histórico que leve em conta sua utilidade para a vida, bem como a participação ativa do homem na construção desse saber. Ao conectar os dois textos, observa-se que Nietzsche busca e propõe uma nova configuração da verdade e do conhecimento, elucidando os nexos constitutivos entre conhecimento e vida. Inicialmente, ele questiona a ideia de uma verdade que independa da perspectiva humana e, posteriormente, explora um cenário favorável a conhecimentos e verdades desvinculados da expectativa de alcançar um saber definitivo sobre o mundo. Destaca-se a figura do historiador ideal, o qual é capaz de reinterpretar o passado continuamente a partir de novas perspectivas. Por fim, nota-se que a verdade desempenha um papel motivacional importante na filosofia de Nietzsche, não se tratando, portanto, de negar sua existência, mas de pensar em que medida ela é vantajosa e possível.The present research offers an exegetical analysis of two fundamental texts found in the early phase of Nietzsche’s thought, exploring the relationship between the problem of truth, historical knowledge and forgetting. In the first part, the research investigates the problem of the impulse to truth and its relationship with the artistic impulse, emphasizing the Nietzschean critique of the concept of truth as conformity. In this context, the philosopher proposes a notion of truth and knowledge that is more pragmatic and, therefore, linked to life. The second part of the research examines historical knowledge in light of its advantages for life. Here, Nietzsche’s critique is directed against the idea of pure knowledge, rejecting mere erudition. The author proposes a relationship with historical knowledge that takes into account its utility for life, as well as the active participation of humans in constructing this knowledge. By connecting the two texts, it is observed that Nietzsche seeks and proposes a new configuration of truth and knowledge, elucidating the constitutive links between knowledge and life. Initially, he questions the idea of a truth independent of the human perspective, and later explores a scenario favorable to knowledge and truths disconnected from the expectation of attaining definitive knowledge about the world. The ideal historian’s figure, capable of continuously reinterpreting the past from new perspectives, is highlighted. Finally, it is noted that truth plays an important motivational role in Nietzsche’s philosophy.
