Departamento de Engenharia Civil, Escola de Minas, Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto.Esta dissertação tem por objetivo estudar o comportamento de vigas-mistas constituídas por perfis metálicos com a região entre as mesas preenchida com concreto. Foram realizados ensaios de flexão com as vigas, simplesmente apoiadas, submetidas a duas cargas concentradas. A série de experimentos, em escala real, foi executada com ênfase nos problemas de avaliação de resistência e estimativa de deflexão. Foram ensaiadas quatro vigas-mistas, com vão de 5,30 metros, sendo duas constituídas por perfis de chapa dobrada e duas por perfis soldados. Apenas uma das vigas, formada por perfis de chapa dobrada, foi preenchida com concreto simples (sem armadura), as demais foram preenchidas com concreto armado. Para as vigas constituídas por perfis soldados as extremidades dos estribos foram soldadas à mesa e à alma do perfil. São apresentados gráficos dos principais parâmetros observados, bem como valores para cargas, deslocamentos, deformações, deslizamentos e tensões nos estágios mais críticos de cada ensaio. O modo de ruína observado nos testes, para as vigas formadas por perfis soldados, foi a flambagem localizada da mesa superior. Para a viga constituída por chapa dobrada, preenchida com concreto simples, o modo de ruína ocorreu devido a ruptura na solda de emenda dos perfis.The main goal of this dissertation is to study the behavior of composite steel beams composed of a steel profile filled with concrete between the top and bottom flanges. Four simple supported beams subjected to two concentrated loads were tested. The full scale experimental program was carried out to assess the ultimate resistance and maximum deflection of the beams. The experimental program included two beams built of cold-formed steel profile and two of welded profile, with a single span of 5300 mm. Three beams were filled with reinforced concrete. A forth one, made of cold-formed steel profile, was just filled with concrete. In this girder the stirrups were welded at its web and flanges. The principal results of parameters like loads, deflections, strains, slippage and stresses in the more critical conditions are presented. The welded beams collapsed by local buckling on the top flange.
