Resumo: | Our present work consists of investigating the role of logos and pathos in the determination of virtuous action in the light of Aristotelian ethics. Some questions guide our research: what is the role of logos and phronesis in virtuous action? How can emotions help the individual to act virtuously and achieve the good life? Therefore, they must be considered as dianoetic virtues and the notion of happiness in Aristotle, then, the theme of passions will be treated in Rhetoric, Poetics and Nicomachean Ethics of the philosopher; and, finally, the main problem of this dissertation will be faced, which consists of analyzing how logos, phronesis and pathos are articulated in the constitution of ethos. |

Algumas perguntas guiam nossa pesquisa: qual a função do logos e da phronesis na constituição da ação virtuosa? De que forma as emoções podem auxiliar o indivíduo a agir de forma virtuosa e a atingir a vida boa?
