This research aims to develop a literary literacy project in a 9th grade class of Elementary School II, based on the novel A vida invisível de Eurídice Gusmão (2016), by Martha Batalha. In this context, we will analyze, from the perspective of reception aesthetics, how students perceive the invisibility of the female character in the aforementioned book. The choice of this work can be justified, among other factors, by helping to awaken the sensitivity of young readers in relation to the theme addressed. To support this study, we consider the Theories of Reception Aesthetics and Aesthetic Effect, which introduce the path that was opened by Hans Robert Jauss and Wolfgang Iser regarding the transformations that the field of literary studies has undergone over time. In addition, the reading strategy used is based on the Reading Circle proposed by Rildo Cosson (2006, 2014). Regarding the perspective of the process and teaching of Literature in Basic Education, we discuss concepts proposed by Bordini and Aguiar (1993), Antônio Candido (2006), Regina Zilberman (1990, 2009) and Teresa Colomer (2007). Therefore, to develop the reading project, the methodology used is based on qualitative research, since the data analysis will be established in an interpretative bias, mediated by the students' reading. It is also characterized as bibliographical research, since we will use theoretical models that investigate the process of literary reading and reader formation, which allows us to understand that the reading of literary texts has an emancipatory character in the horizon of students' expectations. To conclude the methods on which this work is based, an action research will be carried out, based on the monitoring of the teacher-researcher in the mediation of the reading activities. Thus, to obtain the results that will be later analyzed, it will be necessary to use a guide sheet and to carry out the reading circle.
