Resumo: In the scientific literature, there is a scarcity of studies about the relationship between job satisfaction and work situation in stenographers and other similar professions. The present study aims to evaluate this relationship in a team of stenographers, contributing to fill this gap in scientific literature. The Brazilian version of Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) and Ergonomic Workplace Analysis (EWA) were the methodologies used to collect data on job satisfaction and work situation, respectively. The results obtained were analyzed with Kendall's correlation and show that both job satisfaction and work situation were rated as poor by stenographers, while the relationship between job satisfaction and work situation showed moderate results. It was concluded that interventions in the workplace of stenographers are necessary to improve the indicators of the studied variables.

Desse modo, o presente estudo tem como objetivo principal de avaliar esta relação em uma equipe de taquígrafos, contribuindo assim para preencher uma lacuna existente na literatura científica. A versão brasileira do Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) e o Ergonomic Workplace Analysis (EWA) foram as metodologias utilizadas para a coleta dos dados da satisfação no trabalho e da situação de trabalho, respectivamente. Os resultados obtidos foram analisados com a correlação de Kendall e mostram que tanto a satisfação no trabalho como a situação de trabalho foram avaliados como ruim pelos taquígrafos, enquanto a relação entre satisfação no trabalho e situação de trabalho apresentou resultados moderados.
