This dissertation sought to develop a material for non-classroom teaching based on some technical fundamentals for the practice of trumpet through video lessons. The foundations, named as the "Three Pillars of the Trumpet", are divided into breathing, embouchure and typing. These fundamentals consist of a set of four studies investigated from the perspective of the students participating in this research, such as studies of long tones, flexibility, scales and intervals. The studies were developed through exercises and concepts treated in two methods: Arban's Complete Conservatory Method for Trumpet (1936), idealized by trumpet player and French professor Joseph Jean Baptiste Laurent Arban (1825-1889); and Technical Studies (1934), developed by American Herbert Lincoln Clarke (1867-1945). This research was carried out taking as a methodological basis action research, since we use: teaching and learning processes; evaluation of methodologies for trumpet learning; methodological procedures; semistructured interviews; questionnaires; and observations. For the production of video lessons, as the main part of this research, we use content analysis, with which we select the exercises of each method for the composition of theoretical and practical examples. After the entire process of pre-production, production and post-production, the video lessons were shared with the students, where we were able to collect data from the perception of each one of them. It was concluded, therefore, that the practice of the fundamentals addressed in this research, through video lessons, by the participating students, resulted in positive consequences.
