Ética em Paulo Freire: uma alternativa para o ensino religioso brasileiro

Resumo: ABSTRACT The secular question of religious education gained strong attention in the early twentieth century, around the debate on religious education (RE), within the public and secular school, especially in the current stage of our history in which the religious issue has reappearance whether as a relevant social problem or as a human phenomenon that arouses scientific curiosity. One way of dealing with this subject is to treat the religious issue through religious education in the public school, starting from an ethical parameter. Facing this subject, the doctoral research had as its object the ethical discourse of Freirean pedagogy; and as a thesis the assertion that the notion of ethics present in Freire’s pedagogical writings presents itself as an alternative to Religious Education in Brazil. In order to defend this thesis, it was adopted the theoretical-methodological approach of the archaeological discourse (FOUCAULT, 2008; ALCANTARA; CARLOS, 2013). Before the analysis of the object, a survey of the production of theses on the central question of the research was carried out from the descriptors ‘Religious Teaching’ and ‘Ethics’, in order to locate the object in the scope of the academic production; and a mapping of the Freirean writings published in Brazil, in order to identify relevant source texts for the analysis and description of the order of the Freirean discourse on ethics, in view of the defense of the thesis. Five Freirean writings were localized, representative of the Freirean order of pedagogical discourse: Education as a practice of freedom (1967); Pedagogy of the oppressed (1987), Cultural action for freedom and other writings (1981); Extension or communication? (1983); and The Christians and the liberation of the oppressed (1978). The excavation of these sources happened initially through the term ethical; and, later, the term religion. From the key concept ethical it was possible to make explicit the meaning of ethics, intimately linked to the idea of man as a man; and its constituents, related to the vocation of human beings to be ontologically subject, productive, creative, critical and integrated to everyday life and history. In this perspective, the relations man-man, man-culture, man-history, man-society would be situated in an historical ethical horizon when they actually considered the ontological vocation of the human being to be a man. In addition, the analysis made explicit the anthropological-philosophical (culture and logos), historical-sociological (time, class and power) and syncretic-religious (magical and sacred) enunciative elements as the main regulatory domains of Freire’s discursive order on the meaning of ethics, its constituents and its entanglements with the religious issue. Therefore, it is concluded that the set of findings found in the excavation process of these pedagogical writings confirmed and demonstrated the thesis that the notion of ethics, woven in the order of the Freirean discourse, is presented as an alternative parameter of educational work on religious education in the secular space of Brazilian public education.

In addition, the analysis made explicit the anthropological-philosophical (culture and logos), historical-sociological (time, class and power) and syncretic-religious (magical and sacred) enunciative elements as the main regulatory domains of Freire’s discursive order on the meaning of ethics, its constituents and its entanglements with the religious issue. Therefore, it is concluded that the set of findings found in the excavation process of these pedagogical writings confirmed and demonstrated the thesis that the notion of ethics, woven in the order of the Freirean discourse, is presented as an alternative parameter of educational work on religious education in the secular space of Brazilian public education.RESUMEN La cuestión secular de la educación religiosa ganó una gran atención a principios del siglo XX, en torno al debate sobre la educación religiosa (RE), dentro de la escuela pública y la escuela secular, especialmente en la etapa actual de nuestra historia en la que reaparece el tema religioso, ya sea como un problema social relevante o como fenómeno humano que despierta curiosidad científica. Una forma de tratar esse tema es tratar el tema religioso a través de la educación religiosa en la escuela pública, a partir de un parámetro ético. Frente a esse tema, la investigación doctoral tuvo como objeto el discurso ético de la pedagogía freireana; y como tesis, la afirmación de que la noción de ética presente en los escritos pedagógicos de Freire se presenta como una alternativa a la educación religiosa en Brasil. Para defender essa tesis, se adoptó el enfoque teórico metodológico del discurso arqueológico (FOUCAULT, 2008; ALCANTARA; CARLOS, 2013). Antes del análisis del objeto, se realizó un estudio de la producción de tesis sobre la cuestión central de la investigación a partir de los descriptores "Enseñanza religiosa" y "Ética", a fin de ubicar el objeto en el ámbito de la producción académica; y un mapeo de los escritos freireanos publicados en Brasil, con el fin de identificar textos fuente relevantes para el análisis y descripción del orden del discurso freiciano sobre la ética, en vista de la defensa de la tesis. Se localizaron cinco escritos freireanos, representativos de la orden freireana del discurso pedagógico: La educación como práctica de la libertad (1967); Pedagogía de los oprimidos (1987), Acción cultural por la libertad y otros escritos (1981); ¿Extensión o comunicación? (1983); y Los cristianos y la liberación de los oprimidos (1978). La excavación de essas fuentes pasó inicialmente por el término ético; y, más tarde, el término religión. Desde el concepto clave ético fue posible hacer explícito el significado de la ética, íntimamente ligado a la idea del hombre como hombre; y sus constituyentes, relacionados con la vocación de los seres humanos a ser ontológicamente sujetos, productivos, creativos, críticos e integrados a la vida cotidiana y la historia. En essa perspectiva, las relaciones hombre-hombre, hombre-cultura, hombre-historia, hombre-sociedad se ubicarían en un horizonte ético histórico cuando en realidad consideraran la vocación ontológica del ser humano como hombre. Además, el análisis hizo explícitos los elementos enunciativos antropológico-filosóficos (cultura y logos), histórico-sociológicos (tiempo, clase y poder) y sincrético-religiosos (mágicos y sagrados) como los principales dominios reguladores del orden discursivo de Freire sobre el significado. de la ética, sus constituyentes y sus enredos con la cuestión religiosa. Por lo tanto, se concluye que el conjunto de hallazgos encontrados en el proceso de excavación de estos escritos pedagógicos confirmó y demostró la tesis de que la noción de ética, tejida en el orden del discurso freireano, se presenta como un parámetro alternativo del trabajo educativo sobre religión. La educación en el espacio secular de la educación pública brasileña.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESA questão secular da educação religiosa ganhou força no início do Século XX, em torno do debate sobre o Ensino Religioso (ER), no âmbito da escola pública e laica, sobretudo, no atual estágio de nossa história, em que a questão religiosa tem reaparecido quer como um problema social relevante, quer como um fenômeno humano que suscita a curiosidade científica. Uma via de enfrentamento desse assunto consiste em tratar a questão religiosa por meio do ensino religioso na escola pública, a partir de um parâmetro ético. Ocupando-se desse assunto, a pesquisa de Doutorado teve como objeto o discurso ético da pedagogia freireana, e como tese, a assertiva de que a noção de ética presente nos escritos pedagógicos freireanos apresenta-se como uma alternativa para o Ensino Religioso no Brasil. A fim de defender essa tese, adotei a abordagem teórico-metodológica da arqueologia do discurso (FOUCAULT, 2008; ALCANTARA; CARLOS, 2013). Antes de analisar o objeto, fiz um levantamento da produção de teses sobre a questão central da pesquisa a partir dos descritores ‘Ensino Religioso’ e ‘Ética’, para situar o objeto no âmbito da produção acadêmica, e um mapeamento dos escritos freireanos publicados no Brasil, a fim de identificar textos-fonte relevantes para a análise e a descrição da ordem do discurso freireano sobre a ética, tendo em vista a defesa da referida tese. Localizei cinco escritos freireanos, representativos da ordem do discurso pedagógico: Educação como prática da liberdade (1967), Pedagogia do oprimido (1987), Ação cultural para liberdade e outros escritos (1981); Extensão ou comunicação? (1983); e Os cristãos e a libertação dos oprimidos (1978). A escavação dessas fontes aconteceu, inicialmente, por meio do significante ética e, posteriormente, o termo religião. A partir do conceito-chave ‘ética’, foi possível explicitar o significado de ética, vinculado intimamente à ideia do homem como homem; e de seus constituintes, relacionados à vocação de os seres humanos serem ontologicamente sujeitos, produtivos, criativos, críticos e integrados ao cotidiano e à história. Nessa perspectiva, as relações homem-homem, homem-cultura, homem história e homem-sociedade se situariam em um horizonte histórico ético quando, efetivamente, considerasse a vocação ontológica de o ser humano ser homem. Além disso, a análise possibilitou explicitar os elementos enunciativos antropológico-filosóficos (a cultura e o logos), histórico sociológicos (o tempo, a classe e o poder) e sincrético-religiosos (o mágico e o sagrado) como os principais domínios reguladores da ordem discursiva freireana sobre o significado de ética, seus constituintes e seus enlaçamentos com a questão religiosa.
