This research aims to discuss the formation of History teachers based on the experiences of the Subproject of the Institutional Scholarship Program to the Teaching Initiation (PIBID) in the History area, at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) Center Campus for Higher Education (CERES) between 2009 and 2014. In this sense, we intend to analyze: how the coordinators of the PIBID-History subproject thought and planned the activities of the students involved in the project, having the school as a space for teacher training. Therefore, as an analysis criterion, we identify two subproject moments in the CERES. Which we call coordination I (2009-2011) and coordination II (2012-2014). This division is justified, for the period in which each coordinator remained at the head of the Subproject. We used, for our analyzes the methodology of qualitative research, with study of documental and oral sources. And, in order to discuss theoretically, we call for this study, some researchers in the field of Historical research and Education, such as Jörn Rüsen, Fernando Cerri, Bernadette Gatti, Vera Candau, Antônio Nóvoa, among others.
