Resumo: The objective of this research is to analyze the affection in the reports regarding violence against woman published in the Correio da Paraiba newspapers and Paraiba Newspapers (extinct in 2016), at João Pessoa (PB), during the year of 2015.The study of affection was applied from the postulates of the ethic works of Buruch Spinoza (1632-1677). There has been identified initially affection languages at the speech’s in which the publication had as principal subjects hope, fear, love, hate, jealous, envy, repentance, forgiveness and desire. The corpus possess seveteen subjects, in a total of forty-eight analyzed news. The selection was qualitative and the type of research was documented. The research occurs about the usage of affection leaving the ethical camp of Spinoza and passing to be associated in the reports of violence against woman as part constitutive of the reports plot, used to camouflage the human relations. The empiric material was analyzed from the Analysis of the Speech and his methodological procedures allied to the Comprehensive Sociology of Dayle life and to the communication theorists such as Muniz Sodre, Cremilda Medina and Patrick Charaudeau.

O estudo do afeto foi aplicado a partir dos postulados da obra Ética, do filósofo Baruch Spinoza (1632-1677). Foram identificadas inicialmente as linguagens afetivas nos discursos que permearam as publicações sobre esperança e medo, amor e ódio, ciúme e inveja, arrependimento e perdão, e, por fim, desejo. O corpus possui 17 matérias, num total de 48 notícias analisadas sobre o tema. A seleção foi qualitativa e o tipo da pesquisa documental. A pesquisa perpassa sobre como os afetos saem do campo da Ética de Spinoza e passam a ser empregados nas narrativas jornalísticas de violência contra mulheres como parte constituinte do enredo das notícias, usado para camuflar as relações humanas.
