Debates on sustainable development and sustainability have, over time, caused several changes in the cultural and economic values of society, while questions about sustainability have been gaining ground in the educational context. In an attempt to demonstrate the relevance of the role of education in building a sustainable society, Education for Sustainability (EpS) is included in one of the goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are listed in the 2030 Agenda. EpS transcends the discourse of sustainable development, proposing to convert its concepts into social practices, with a view to promoting behavior change. This study has as its locus the Mata da Pimenteira State Park (hereinafter referred to as PEMP), located in the municipality of Serra Talhada-PE, having been recognized as a State Conservation Unit in 2012. Since this unit has, among its purposes, the promotion of environmental education and the encouragement of scientific research, the present study has the general objective: to analyze the EpS actions developed by the PEMP and their respective alignment with the 4th SDG - Quality education for all. The study consists of a qualitative approach, obtaining data through narrative interviews, using narrative analysis for the data analysis procedure, which were collected from two agents: The members of the Park Management Council and the residents of its surroundings. Among the results, it was noticed that the educational practices developed in the PEMP promoted, over the years, a change in the behavior of the residents, which can be considered as EpS. Thus, it can be seen that the educational actions are aligned with the 4th SDG - Quality Education for all, however, there are still limitations and potentialities found in the context of the PEMP that can be worked on in the long term.
