Tomamos a imaginação enquanto um processo fundamental nesses aspectos da vida humana, como forma específica de adaptação e pré-adaptação ao meio ambiente, por meio de um processo de auto regulação. Em articulação com a Psicologia Cultural Semiótica, que considera existir um laço constante e dinâmico entre o sujeito, individual e único, e o coletivo cultural. Que a experiência humana, enquanto realidade subjetiva culturalmente organizada e recriada é uma atividade que integra e constrói a psique humana. Este estudo se propôs a compreender como ocorrem os processos imaginativos em uma paciente com câncer sobre Cuidados Paliativos. Trata-se de um estudo de caso, de modelo idiográfico, onde foram utilizados como instrumentos para investigação, duas entrevistas semiestruturadas e a construção material através da “Caixa de Surpresas”. Os dados foram analisados a partir da dinâmica dos processos imaginativos proposta por Valsiner (2014) e Tateo (2017), considerando os elementos da dinâmica imaginativa: “Ver”, “Ver como”, Resistências, Direcionalidades e Gegenstand. Os resultados obtidos apontaram que os processos imaginativos se constituem a partir de elementos compartilhados na cultura coletiva, da cultura pessoal, das experiências e dos afetos de uma pessoa. Nas construções linguísticas, a participante imagina Cuidados Paliativos enquanto lugar reservado para pacientes morrerem, então antecipa resistências de bloqueio e suas direcionalidades diante do objeto se apresentam com perspectivas negativas. Nas construções da Caixa de Surpresas, continua a imaginar Cuidados Paliativos atrelados à terminalidade, mas com direcionalidades numa perspectiva de aceitação e elaboração sobre sua própria possibilidade de morte.The condition of human life is to manage uncertainties that guide the creation of meanings and future projections. We take the imagination as a fundamental process in these aspects of human life, as a specific form of adaptation and pre-adaptation to the environment, through a process of self-regulation. In articulation with Semiotic Cultural Psychology, which considers there to be a constant and dynamic link between the subject, individual and unique, and the cultural collective. That human experience, as a culturally organized and recreated subjective reality, is an activity that integrates and builds the human psyche. This study aimed to understand how the imaginative processes occur in a patient with cancer in Palliative Care. It is a case study, from the idiographic model, where two research interviews were used as research instruments, two semi-structured interviews and the material construction through the "Box of Surprises". The data were analyzed from the dynamics of the imaginative processes proposed by Valsiner (2014) and Tateo (2017), considering the elements of the imaginative dynamics: "See", "See how", Resistances, Directionalities and Gegenstand. The results show that the imaginative processes are constituted from elements shared in the collective culture, the personal culture, the experiences and the affections of a person. In linguistic constructions, the participant imagines Palliative Care as a place reserved for patients to die, then anticipates blocking resistances and their directionalities towards the object present themselves with negative perspectives.
