Resumo: This thesis aims to support the idea that Meister Eckhart‟s mythical thought points to a moral reformulation. For this purpose, three texts of the author are analyzed: “Of the Nobleman”, talks of Instruction” end “On Detachment”. Moral reformulation can already be found in “Of nobleman” and further in “Talks of Instruction. It is, however, in “On Detachment” that the moral change advocated by Eckhart can be fully observed. By presenting Eckhart‟s ideas, this study aims to highlight this medieval author who, upon postulating a moral reformulation, justifies his conceptions on philosophical grounds.

Com tal intuito, nos remetemos, especialmente, a três textos do autor: O Homem Nobre, as Conversações Espirituais e Sobre o Desprendimento. A reformulação moral já pode ser percebida em O Homem Nobre e, mais ainda, nas Conversações Espirituais. É, contudo, em Sobre o Desprendimento que a mudança moral, preconizada por Eckhart, pode ser observada inteiramente.
