Defesa: Curitiba, 2004Inclui bibliografia e anexosResumo: Os objetivos do presente trabalho foram avaliar as características reprodutivas dos suínos e suas correlações, efeitos ambientais, sistema de cobertura e diferentes linhagens comerciais. Foram analisados, de 1996 a 2002, 7.933 partos de quatro granjas comerciais de Arapoti - PR, dos quais 5.981 provindos da inseminação artificial (IA) e 1.965 da monta natural (MN). As variáveis analisadas foram: granja; linhagem da fêmea (LF): LF1=Landrace (LD), LF2=Large White (LW), LF3=LDLW - produzida na granja (PGR), LF4=LDLW e Duroc (DU)-PGR, LF5=avó C22- Agroceres (AG), LF6=C22-AG, LF7=C22-PGR, LF8=avó C40-Dalland (Dal), LF9=C40-Daí, LF10=C40-PGR, LF11=avó JSR e LF12= filhas avó JSR-PGR; ordem de parto (OP); linhagem macho (LM): LM1=L30-linha fêmea (LIF)-Dal, LM2=Dalboar-linha macho (LIM)-Dal, LM3=Tybor-LIM-Dal, LM4=Toppi-LIM-Dal, LM5-LIF-AG, LM6=LIM-AG, LM7=JSR-LIF, LM8=JSR-LIM, LM9=P76-LIMPenarlan, LM10=Seghers, LM11=LW-LIF, LM12=LD-LIF, LM13=DU-LIM e LM14=Pietran x Hampshire-LIM; forma de cobertura: IA ou MN; estação da cobertura (EC); ano da cobertura (AC); período de gestação (PG) e lactação (PL); intervalo desmame-cobertura (IDC) e entre partos (IP); número de leitões nascidos (NLN), nascidos vivos (NLNV) e desmamados (NLD); natimortalidade (NT%); mortalidade do nascimento à desmama (MD%) e total (MT%); peso ao nascer (PN) e à desmama (PD); ganho de peso total (GPT) e diário (GPD). O cálculo da interação entre as linhagens (LF3, LF4, LF9, LF10, LF12, LM1, LM2 e LM3) foi realizada com 5.132 partos. Considerando o NLN, NLNV e PD, as fêmeas da quinta OP apresentaram melhor desempenho. As correlações demonstraram que quanto maior o NLN, maiores são as mortalidades e menores os PN e PD. A IA resultou em um IP menor e maior NLN (p<0,05). O efeito da granja influenciou (p<0,05) quase todas as características analisadas. Levando-se em consideração o NLN e NLNV as fêmeas cobertas no inverno tiveram melhores desempenhos reprodutivos. O efeito do AC influenciou (p<0,05) todas as variáveis analisadas. A LF influenciou o PG, PN, NT%, MD%, PD e GPT. A LF1 e LF2 apresentaram maior PN, com a LF2 apresentando menor habilidade materna. A LF3 produziu menores MD% e maiores PD. A LF4 resultou em leitões com maior PD. A LF5 apresentou excelente habilidade materna. LF7 apresentou menores PN, NT% e PD quando comparada a LF6. A LF8 apresentou maior NLN com menor PN. A LF10 obteve desempenho semelhante a LF9. A LM apresentou influência (p<0,05) sobre o PG, NLN, NLNV, NLD, PN e MD%. Os LM2 e LM3 apresentaram menores NLN, NLNV e NLD. O LM4 apresentou maior NLNV e menor PN, com valores intermediários para LM1. O LM5 apresentou baixo NLN, NLNV e NLD. O LM6 apresentou maior NLNV e MD%. O LM7 e LM9 apresentaram alto PN. O LM10 e LM11 tiveram maior NLNV. O LM12 apresentou pequenas leitegadas com baixa MD%. Nenhuma interação entre as linhagens analisadas foi significativa.Abstract: The objectives of the present work were to evaluate the reproductive characteristics of the pigs and their correlations, environmental effects, covering system and diferents commercial lineages. They were analyzed, from 1996 to 2002, 7.933 childbirths of the four commercial farms of Arapoti - PR, of the which 5.981 original of the artificial insemination (IA) and 1.965 of the natural sets up (MN). The variables analyzed were: farm; lineage of the female (LF): LF1=Landrace (LD), LF2=Large White (LW), LF3=LDLW - produced at the farm (PG), LF4=LDLW and Duroc (DU)- PG, LF5=grandmother C22-Agroceres (AG), LF6=C22-AG, LF7=C22-PG, LF8=grandmother C40-Dalland (Dal), LF9=C40-Dal, LF10=C40-PG, LF11=grandmother JSR and LF12 = daughters grandmother JSR-PG; childbirth order (OP); male lineage (LK4); LM1=L30-female linha (LIF)-Dal, LM2=Dalboar-linha male (LIM)-Dal, LM3=Tybor-LIMMDaf, LM4=Toppi-LIM-Dal, LM5=LIF-AG, LM6=LIMAG, LM7=JSR-LIF, LM8=JSR-LIM, LM9=P76-LIM-Penarlan, LM10=Seghers, LM11=LW-LIF, LM12=LD-LIF, LM13=DU-LIM and LM14=Pietran x Hampshire-LIM; covering form: IA or MN; station of the covering (EC); year of the covering (AC); gestation period (PG) and nursing (PL); interval wean-covering (IDC) and enter childbirths (IP); number of born pigs (NLN), born alive (NLNV) and weaned (NLD); born mortality (NT%); mortality of the birth to it weans (MD%) and total (MT%,); the weight when being born (PN) and to it weans it (PD); gain of total weight (GPT) and weight daily (GPD). The calculation of the interaction among the lineages (LF3, LF4, LF9, LF10, LF12, LM1, LM2 and LM3) was accomplished with 5.132 childbirths. Considering NLN, NLNV and PD, the females of fifth OP presented better acting. The correlations demonstrated that as larger NLN, larger are the mortalities and smaller PN and PD. The IA resulted in a smaller IP and larger NLN (p <0,05). The effect of the farm influenced (p <0,05) almost all the analyzed characteristics. Considering NLN and NLNV the covered females in. the winter had better reproductive actings. The effect of AC influenced (p <0,05) whole the analyzed variables. LF influenced PG, PN, NT%, MD%, PD and GPT. At LF1 and LF2 they presented larger PN, with for LF2 presenting smaller maternal ability. The LF3 produced smaller MD% and larger PD. The LF4 resulted in pigs with larger PD. The LF5 presented excellent maternal ability. LF7 presented smaller PN, NT% and PD when compared to LF6. LF8 presented larger NLN with smaller PN. For LF10 he/she obtained acting similar to LF9. LM presented influence (p <0,05) on PG, NLN, NLNV, NLD, PN and MD%. LM2 LM3 presented smaller NLN, NLNV and NLD. The LM4 presented larger NLNV and smaller PN, with intermediary values for LM1. The LM5 presented low NLN, NLNV and NLD. The LM6 presented larger NLNV and MD%. LM7 LM9 presented high PN. LM10 LM11 had larger NLNV. The LM12 presented small group pigs with low MD%.
