This research develops and presents the concept of Floating Agroforests (AFF), as an innovation to promote new territories for food production and ecological housing floating in the waters. To this end, the bibliographic review and the development of the Information Project (Fonseca, 2000; and Rozenfeld, 2006) were used as a research structure based on the bibliographic review. In the Informational Project, the minimum structural design was carried out for a pilot project, but the Technical, Environmental and Economic Feasibility Study was not presented, due to the understanding of the need for a more in-depth calculation to design a functional Floating Agroforest with housing conditions. Based on a bibliographical review, the various forms of construction of floating islands are presented, such as the materials currently used, as well as the proposal for the use of wood or bamboo, as well as the construction process of seacrete, which is capable of generating an artificial reef, on which, in Floating Agroforests, the float structure must be fixed. The Results bring a pilot project with a Floating Agroforest design, measuring 12 meters in diameter, so that future technical, environmental and economic feasibility studies can be carried out. Therefore, a new Nature-Based Solution (SbN) is presented for the food production and sustainable housing sectors, to be part of the list of alternatives to the effects of global warming and climate change, based on this technological innovation.
