Resumo: Study about Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS) verbs and the main objective is to do a classification of them through their morpho-syntactic-semantic components. For doing this study, it was necessary to rethink about language typologies, grammatical categories and to do a field researching. The verb was presented as a lexical item that has a root where aggregate other elements: the agreement marks and satellites. So the verb is a net and its arguments must be submitted to rules that select the theta roles and the diathesis altemations. There is a verbal frame that induces to a theta frame that induces to a phrasal frame. The Brazilian sign language verbs were divided into classes in order to their agreement system: gender, discourse person/number and locative. The research results give a contribution to general language theory because they demonstrate the application of the same principles used to oral languages.

Para se fazer este estudo foi necessário repensar sobre tipologia de línguas, categorias gramaticais e fazer uma pesquisa de campo para, através de dados elicitados, propor uma classificação para os verbos dessa língua. A constituição do verbo, enquanto item lexical, possuidor de uma raiz onde se agregam outros elementos que ou são marcas de concordância ou são satélites, foi o foco de estudo. Através de uma abordagem morfológica, sintática e semântica, o verbo foi apresentado como uma rede que, devido a regras de seleção restritiva, seleciona seus argumentos, suas regras temáticas e suas alterações diátesis. Há, portanto, um frame verbal que induz a um frame temático que induz a uma frame proposicional. Assim, os verbos da LIBRAS foram divididos em classes a partir do seu sistema de flexão: gênero, número-pessoal e locativo.
