Introduction: The partogram is a guiding instrument for decision-making in obstetric care, being used in the monitoring of labor, reducing unnecessary interventions and improving the quality of care during labor and birth. As can be seen, this instrument in some services is not used properly, which can compromise the excellence of care for the binomial: mother and child. Objective: Collectively build a tool to monitor the completion and use of the partogram in a teaching hospital. Methodology: This is a descriptive, exploratory research with a qualitative approach, using the Convergent Care Research (PCA) methodology in its four phases. In the first, an integrative review and construction of a research question were carried out; the instrumentation was based on the description of the place of study and participants; the scrutiny phase was developed from a survey with professionals who work in childbirth care, through an instrument/form (Google forms) with open and closed questions, issued by email and a second moment, with the training the remote form convergence group, which collectively built the monitoring tool for completing and using the partogram; and the fourth phase which comprised: analysis, detailed discussion of the interview data. Results: At the end of this study, an integrative literature review was produced and the Partogram Completion and Use Monitoring Tool (FEMPUP) was built as a product, in addition to its flowchart. Final Considerations: The process of building the tool gave rise to observations and reflections among the participants on the care processes of the service, with emphasis on the difficulties of implementation and improvement processes with a view to the partogram. The study contributed to complete an existing space in the service and will enable the insertion of the tool in the electronic systems existing in the institution and in the future in the electronic medical record. The tool consists of managerial devices, which will help in the elaboration of internal control mechanisms, aiming at improving the indicators provided by this tool, which, when implemented, will play an important role in management planning.
