Recognizing the importance of the scientific education and the difficulty faced by the school to insert it in the society, becau se of its enhancement, we elaborated a didactical sequence for an elective subject, inside the axis of the scientific investigation. It integrates topics on Modern and Contemporary Physics and Astrophysics, in order to provide theoretical and methodologica l subsidy of a useful purpose to accomplish the goals of Physics teaching inside the context of Basic Education, focusing on High School students. For that, we used the Learning Contextualization Methodology, based on the problematization and resolution of problems by means of experiential context of the student. For the purpose of enabling the use by other teachers, we presented a referential, conceptual and methodological summary, beyond the elaboration details. As for the application in the classroom, it did not occur due to the COVID19 pandemic, being done by pairs on a remote minicourse for the Basic Education Physics teachers. They pointed out that it is a relevant proposal in the High School, mainly due to the complex contextualization of contents in a discussion of physical properties of the stars, a theme that arouses the curiosity of the students, given the fascination with the universe.
