This paper analyzes the relationship between women, religion and community ties among the Mendonça of Amarelão. In light of the work "Reassembling the Social" (2012) of the French scientist Bruno Latour, I consider the main concepts from which he presents the construction of the collective problematizing the network of associations between heterogeneous entities. This theoretical basis subsidizes the questions raised in this research opening the possibility of thinking about the maintenance of networks of relationships from the various faith traditions from the interdisciplinary perspective. We analyze the action that religious women have in the re-updating of traditional practices with the insertion of new elements as maintainers of social ties. We developed the research according to the proposal of following the networks that connect human and non-human actors in the field through participant observation and interviews, as well as through the readings and collection of information in social networks and digital channels. This research is important for the scientific field because it examines pertinent questions about indigenous women today, highlighting the societal relations that have been established and that are perennially reconstructed in the Mendonça people.
