Based on concept of dominium, debated for intellectuals of the second scholastic of Salamanca, we marked the analysis about the use of space by Spanish empire in Indias Occidentales. The study is centered between the ends of 15th century and the eighth decade of 16th century. In this time, the New World emerge as a conquers territory of a power almost ever virtual, El Rei. Of this arise core points of this study: the crown’s function, the role the theological legitimation, the Church goals, the deal with the space and your human population and the importance of the new and old knowledges. Knowledge and dominium connecting either at a relationship often cooperative. The space arise like main scope. Sentenced to a force relation between different vectors of the colonial epopee, transformed itself in administrative unity, the territory. Making a historical research, we seek understand as the Spanish domain was implemented above another spaces, and as the knowledge clarified, legitimated and aided this process.
