This research is a multiple case study carried out with five guitarists in Sobral-CE. The main objective was to understand the processes that mark the formation in multiple contexts of professional and semi-professional guitarists. In this sense, he endeavored to assimilate the musical training of guitarists Juca Viana, Janilson Braga, Reginaldo Fialho, Luizito Miguel and Almir Martins, guitarists who collaborated in this research. To this end, qualitative interviews, simple observations, documental research and a survey with guitarists in Sobral-CE were used as data construction techniques. The theoretical foundation is based on Ferry (1997), who deepens the concept of “training”. The guidelines suggested by Green (2002) present contemporary perspectives in the field of Music Education about the multiple contexts in which music teaching and learning practices materialize. The design adopted was a qualitative approach, marking that allowed the understanding of each guitarist as a specific and particular being within their practices. Thus, the musicians' experiences are seen in the light of dialogicity and transversality. To this end, Discursive Textual Analysis (DTA) was used as a lens to treat the constructed data (interviews). The data indicate that the training of guitarists is enhanced through the transitivity existing in the training paths. In this way, the multiple sources of information, as well as the different contexts of performance of the musicians, are configured as contributing aspects for the musical training of each guitarist.
