Resumo: The chemical study of the aerial parts of a new and rare species of Solanum jabrense Agra & M. Nee resulted in the isolation of two steroids, ?-sitosterol and stigmasterol, one triterpene ?-amyrin, one sesquiterpene (solavetivone), two alkaloids Nb-methyltetrahydro-?-carboline and solasodine, beside vanillic acid. The leaves of S. jabrense fumished three flavonoids 3,7,3',4'-tetramethyl quercetin ether, 7,4'-dimethyl quercetin ether, and 7-methyl kaempferol ether. The aerial parts of Solanum paludosum Moric. afforded two triterpenes ?-amirine acetate and ?-amyrin and its acetyl derivativa, one alkamide N-coumaroyltyramine, protocatecuic acid, two steroidal saponins, (3-0-?-D-glicopyranosylsitosterol and 3-0-?-D-glicopyranosylstigmaterol and eight flavonoids: 3,4',7,8-tetramethylgossypetin ether, 3,3',4',7,8-pentamethyl gossypetin ether, 3,3',4',7-tetramethyl quercetin ether, 3-methyl quercetin ether, 7-methyl apigenin ether, 3,7-dimethyl kaempferol ether, 7-methyl kaempferol ether, and 3,7,8-trimethyl herbacetin ether. The structures were stablished from IV, Mass spectrum and NMR spectral data, including 20 NMR experiments of the natural substances and the acetyl, methyl and the new iodine derivativa of flavonoids. The methanolic extract of the trichomes of Solanum crinitum Lam. fumished 0-glicosylflavonoids astragaline and tilliroside. The analysis of flavonoids by HPLC was carried out with extracts of trichomes of S. rhytidoandrum Sendtn., S. paludosum Moric., S. paraibanum Agra, S. stramonifo/ium Jacq. and lhe extracts of the aerial parts of S. agrarium Sendtn. and S. jabrense Agra & M. Nee. The flavonoid profiles were compared by HPLC. The studied plants belong to four different sections of Solanum subg. Leptostemonum (Dunal) Bitter. Biological tests were run for the Solanum extracts, for solavetivone and for the natural and derivatized flavonoids, including topoisomerase inhibition, spamolitic and molluscicide activities, and citotoxicity against Erlich cells.

O estudo dos extratos de Solanum jabrense, S. paludosum e S. crinitum foi realizado com t?cnicas cromatogr?ficas rotineiras de laborat?rio, e as demais esp?cies foram estudadas atrav?s de an?lise por CLAE. De Solanum jabrense AGRA & M. NEE foram isolados dois ester?ides, ?-sitosterol e estigmasterol, um triterpeno (?-amirina), um sesquiterpeno (solavetivona), dois alcal?ides (Nbmetiltetraidro-?-carbolina e solasodina) e o ?cido van?lico. Das folhas jovens de S. jabrense tamb?m foram isolados os flavon?ides: 3,7,3',4'-tetra-O-metilquercetina, 7,4'-di-O-metilquercetina e 7-0-metilkanferol. A esp?cie Solanum paludosum Moric. forneceu dois triterpenos, acetato de ?-amirina e ?-amirina, uma alcamida (N-?-coumaroiltiramina), ?cido protocatecuico, duas saponinas esteroidais (3-0-?-D-glicopiranosilsitosterol e 3-0-?-D-glicopiranosilestigmasterol) e oito flavon?ides: 3,4',7,8-tetra-0-metillgossipetina, 3,3',4',7,8-penta-O-metilgossipetina, 3,3',4',7-tetra-0-metilquercetina, 3-0-metilquercetina, 7-0-metilapigenina,3,7-di-0-metilkanferol, 7-0-metilkanferol e 3,7,8-tri-O-metilherbacetina. O extrato metan?lico dos tricomas de Solanum crinitum Lam. forneceu dois flavon?ides glicosilados, astragalina e tiliros?deo. As estruturas foram identificadas pela an?lise dos espectros de IV, Massas e RMN, incluindo os experimentos de 2D das subst?ncias naturais e dos derivados metilados, acetilados e o novo derivado iodado dos flavon?ides. Os extratos dos tricomas de Solanum rhytidoandrum Sendtn., S. paludosum Marie., S. paraibanum Agra, S. stramonifolium Jacq. e das partes a?reas de S. agrarium Sendtn. e S. jabrense Agra & M. Nee foram analisados por CLAE para verificar a presen?a de flavon?ides. As esp?cies estudadas s?o de quatro se??es diferentes de Solanum, subg?nero Leptostemonum (Dunal) Bitter.
