Resumo: The objective of the present work is to investigate the level of technical education of former High school students, graduated from the technical course in Agriculture and Livestock at Col?gio Agr?cola de Cambori? CAC. Firstly, in the course of the study, we are concerned about highlighting important historical aspects of Brazilian vocational education. Aiming at promoting reflection and analyses, we initially present a historical presentation of vocational education paths, pointing out the main educational reforms in the area. Next we turn our focus to the present time aspiring to evaluate the quality of the Technical Course in Agriculture and Livestock at CAC from the point of view of the students and those responsible for training placements in companies. Data was gathered from questionnaires filled in by a) former high school students who had complemented their studies with vocational education, that is, further education, and graduated from CAC, and b) representatives from companies offering training placements and work to Agricultural Technicians. It is evident from the data that the Teaching Institute is concerned about offering quality teaching to future technicians, allowing the high school leaver to be adequately trained to be taken into and made good use of in the job market. It was also observed that the profile of such a school leaver, graduating from CAC, is that of a young professional with a wider education, yet concerned with capability/current knowledge and new technology. On the other hand, we also noticed that companies are more and more often looking for already trained workers with very specific knowledge in certain areas, a sort of specialist. This often frustrates students who had a broader school education guided by a strict curriculum structured for the formation of professional Technicians in Agriculture and Livestock with a more general view in the area of Agriculture. In general terms, the research showed a high percentage of both students and the representatives of the companies included in the sample approved of the teaching offered on the Technical course in Agriculture and Livestock at Col?gio Agr?cola de Cambori?. The results bring us to the conclusion that the course is of good quality. At the same time it uncovers some flaws allowing us to present suggestions for improvement by attending to the demands made by changes in the job market.

At the same time it uncovers some flaws allowing us to present suggestions for improvement by attending to the demands made by changes in the job market.O presente trabalho foi realizado com o objetivo de investigar o n?vel de forma??o t?cnica do aluno egresso do ensino m?dio, formado no Curso T?cnico em Agropecu?ria do Col?gio Agr?cola de Cambori? CAC. Preliminarmente, no decorrer do trabalho tivemos a preocupa??o de destacar pontos hist?ricos importantes na trajet?ria da educa??o profissional no Brasil. A fim de subsidiar reflex?es e an?lises, inicialmente apresentamos uma retrospectiva hist?rica do caminho percorrido pelo ensino profissionalizante, destacando as principais reformas educacionais ocorridas na ?rea. Em seguida, voltamos o nosso olhar para o tempo presente e buscamos avaliar a qualidade do Curso T?cnico em Agropecu?ria do CAC a partir da vis?o de estudantes e respons?veis pelos est?gios na empresas. Concernente a pesquisa, foram aplicados question?rios aos estudantes egressos do ensino m?dio que complementaram seus estudos com a forma??o profissional, ou seja, de forma subseq?ente ao ensino m?dio, formados pelo CAC, e aos respons?veis pelas empresas que oferecem est?gio e trabalho aos T?cnicos em Agropecu?ria. A an?lise dos dados tornou evidente a preocupa??o da Institui??o de Ensino em oferecer um ensino t?cnico de qualidade que permita que o egresso do ensino m?dio possa receber forma??o adequada para ser absorvido e aproveitado pelo mercado de trabalho. Verificou-se, tamb?m, que o perfil deste egresso, formado pelo CAC, ? de um profissional jovem com uma forma??o mais geral, por?m preocupado com capacita??o/atualiza??o e com novas tecnologias. Por outro lado, tamb?m observamos que as empresas, cada vez mais, exigem profissionais prontos e com conhecimentos muito espec?ficos em determinadas ?reas, profissionais do tipo especialistas , o que frustra muitas vezes os estudantes que receberam uma educa??o mais geral, ditada por uma matriz curricular r?gida e estruturada para a forma??o do profissional T?cnico em Agropecu?ria com uma vis?o mais ampla da ?rea agr?cola. De forma geral, a pesquisa constatou que o ensino oferecido pelo Col?gio Agr?cola de Cambori?, no Curso T?cnico em Agropecu?ria, teve alto percentual de aprova??o, tanto por parte dos estudantes quanto dos respons?veis pelas empresas que fizeram parte da amostra. O fato nos permitiu concluir que o curso ? de boa qualidade, mas, tamb?m, nos permitiu indicar alguns pontos falhos e apresentar sugest?es para a sua melhoria, de forma a atender ?s demandas exigidas pelas mudan?as no mundo do trabalho.Made available in DSpace on 2016-04-26T16:55:33Z (GMT).
