Resumo: During the drilling overbalanced operation, drilling fluid tends to invade the reservoir and may compromise productivity of the well. This study aims the better knowledge about the filtration process of drilling fluids as well as the mudcake formation. To perform the experiments were used a HTHP filtration cell. This cell allows evaluate the static and dynamic filtration process compatible with the conditions found during the drilling wells. Initially were evaluated the capacity of the filtration cell to provide filtration data for emulsion because were made a change in initial project of cell. Thereafter were compared kinds of fluids, like water based mud, oil based mud without emulsion and oil based mud with emulsion. Were used filter paper and three types of rock being high permeability sandstone, medium permeability sandstone and low permeability limestone as filter media. We performed experiments to determine mudcake parameters like porosity, permeability and shear strength of mudcake. The results obtained allowed evaluate the mudcake effect and interactions between drilling fluids with rocks. I was found that using filter paper the water based mud produced a greater amount of filtrate. Using rocks like filter media the oil based mud allowed greater volume of filtrate. In emulsion the water droplets emulsified limited the amount of filtrate obtained by obstruction of the pores formed by solid particles and the pores of rocks. Were considerate environments with and without shear rate. The shear rate impose on system created a destructive interference on mudcake occurring erosion. In this experiments were observed the rock effect on mudcake and amount ok filtrate. The higher the permeability of rock, the greater the amount of filtrate obtained.

Este estudo visa um melhor entendimento dos processos de filtra??o dos fluidos de perfura??o, bem como a forma??o do reboco junto ? parede do po?o. Para realizar este estudo, foram realizados experimentos em uma c?lula de filtra??o do tipo HTHP que permite avaliar o processo de filtra??o est?tica e din?mica, compat?veis com as condi??es encontradas durante a perfura??o de po?os de petr?leo. Inicialmente avaliou-se a capacidade da c?lula de filtra??o em fornecer dados de filtra??o para emuls?es uma vez que foi feita uma altera??o no projeto inicial da mesma. Posteriormente foram comparados fluidos de diferentes bases, sendo base ?gua, base ?leo e emuls?o. Neste estudo, utilizou-se papel de filtro e tr?s tipos de rocha, sendo arenito de alta e m?dia permeabilidade e carbonato de permeabilidade baixa como meio filtrante. Foram realizados experimentos para a determina??o de par?metros da torta de filtra??o como porosidade, permeabilidade e resist?ncia ao cisalhamento da torta. Os resultados obtidos permitiram avaliar o efeito da torta e a intera??o dos fluidos de perfura??o com as rochas. Verificou-se que ao utilizar papel de filtro, o fluido base ?gua produziu uma maior quantidade de filtrado. Utilizando-se rochas, o fluido base ?leo permitiu maior volume de filtrado. Na emuls?o, as got?culas de ?gua emulsionadas limitaram a quantidade de filtrado obtida atrav?s da obstru??o dos poros formados pelas part?culas s?lidas e dos poros das rochas. Foram considerados ambientes com e sem cisalhamento da torta de filtra??o. A taxa de cisalhamento imposta ao sistema gerou uma interfer?ncia destrutiva na torta de filtra??o, ocorrendo eros?o da mesma.
