The structural crisis of capital has intensified the financialization of the economy, promoting spatial transformations on different scales of accumulation. With the adoption of neoliberal policies, the state became controlled by financial capital, accelerating the need for circulation. In Brazil, to mitigate the effects of the crisis, the state encourages credit and adopts urban and regional planning strategies that favor the accumulation of capital and the extraction of surplus value. However, this process often results in rampant real estate speculation and the reconfiguration of space. Although it doesn't generate value directly, this capital participates in the distribution of surplus value by enabling investments in urban infrastructure and fixed capital, benefiting owners and capitalists by maximizing land rents. These individuals exploit the appreciation of their financial assets and speculate on land and real estate, intensifying indebtedness and the precariousness of labor relations. Given this scenario, the thesis is based on the assumption that financial capital leverages its interfaces to shape social and territorial structures in the production of space, while at the same time sustaining and exacerbating the exploitation of the working class. This process takes place under the mediation of the actions of the state and financial capitalists, consolidating a geography of accumulation in Vitória da Conquista-BA and perpetuating the contradiction between capital and labor, as well as the sociometabolic (dis)order of capital. To prove this thesis, we set ourselves the objectives of identifying how the territory of Vitória da Conquista-BA is inscribed in the process of capitalist production of space, mediated by the interfaces of financial capital on a local, national and global scale; analyzing the consequences of the extraction of income from labor legislation and reflecting on the relationship between the state and financial capital in the circulation of interest-bearing capital. The methodology adopted includes a comprehensive bibliographical survey of classic and contemporary works on economics, geography, urbanism and sociology. In addition, a documentary analysis is carried out, covering legislation and reports to understand urban and economic development in Brazil, with emphasis on laws such as Law No. 13.467 and Law No. 14.478 (Legal Framework for Startups). The research also consults institutional websites, such as those of the Central Bank of Brazil, the Chamber of Deputies and the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), in order to obtain up-to-date data. In addition, the praxis takes the form of field analysis previously carried out in Vitória da Conquista, allowing on-site observation of urban dynamics and housing policies. Through this approach, reflection on financial capital in geographical science makes it possible to understand its spatialization strategies and the spatio-temporal determinations in the territorial and social configuration of work. In this way, grasping the concrete totality and its contradictions reveals that financialization, although incapable of sustaining itself indefinitely as a way out of the crisis, imposes expropriation on the working class and intensifies exploitation in the production of space.
