Temáticas ambientais em disciplinas escolares : entre o planejado e o passível

Resumo: The school as a promoter of significant learning should also search for mechanisms that get a glimpse of internal changes in its involved people. When talking about Environmental Education, the school is one of the means for its development, for being an instrument of social change that stimulates community s participation, enabling it larger involvement with local reality and integrating the pedagogical practices to the society s needs and demands. The school has, this way, an important role in the process of educational formation, allowing the citizen to develop attitudes and values expressed by behaviors and actions that are reflected in the physical and social environment. In this sense, the present study had as goal to analyze in which measure the environmental thematic praised in official documents find echo in the formal educational scope of the medium teaching state public schools of Garanhuns-PE. The descriptive-explanatory research, of exploratory character, analyzed official documents, made interviews and distributed questionnaires to the managers, teachers and students for data collection. The research had its focus in the teachers participation of all the curricular components of the medium teaching and in the 3rd grades students of the schools that obtained the three larger grades in the Education Development Index of Pernambuco (IDEPE) in 2010. The data analysis allowed us to conclude that between what was planned and the possible, it is the educational autonomy. This autonomy points to a professional formative and pedagogical process that using efficient mechanisms can foment Environmental Education in the school space. However, we could identify, yet, that the informal education is the most efficient means of propagation of the environmental dimension. This way, the environmental thematic although consisting of the Theoretical-methodological Orientations (OTMs) of Pernambuco State, are used by the teacher in some moments, but not in others.

Quando se trata de Educação Ambiental, a escola é um dos meios para o seu desenvolvimento, por se tratar de um instrumento de mudança social, que estimula a participação da comunidade, possibilitando-lhe maior envolvimento com a realidade local e integrando as práticas pedagógicas às necessidades e demandas da sociedade. A escola tem assim, um importante papel no processo de formação educacional, permitindo que o cidadão desenvolva atitudes e valores expressos por meio de comportamentos e ações que se refletem no meio ambiente físico e social. Neste sentido, o presente estudo buscou analisar em que medida as temáticas ambientais preconizadas em documentos oficiais encontram eco no âmbito educacional formal das escolas públicas estaduais de ensino médio da cidade de Garanhuns-PE. A pesquisa descritivo-explicativa, de caráter exploratório, utilizou-se da análise de documentos oficiais, aplicação de entrevistas e questionários a gestores, professores e estudantes para coleta de dados. A pesquisa centrou-se na participação dos professores de todos os componentes curriculares do ensino médio e nos estudantes das 3ª séries das escolas que obtiveram as três maiores notas no Índice de Desenvolvimento da Educação de Pernambuco (IDEPE) em 2010. A análise dos dados permitiu-nos concluir que entre o planejado e o possível, acha-se a autonomia docente. Esta autonomia aponta para um processo formativo profissional e pedagógico que se utilizando de mecanismos eficientes pode fomentar a Educação Ambiental no espaço escolar. Contudo, identificamos, ainda, que a educação informal é o meio mais eficiente de propagação da dimensão ambiental.
