The present work arises from the guiding question of understanding how the Xokós of the Caiçara Indigenous Land develop based on their own cultural dynamics? What is problematic here is that in fact, Indigenous Peoples also want to develop, but based on their own cultural parameters. With respect to these specificities, the category of Good Living is used to analyze how the Xokós develop based on their own cultural dynamics, so that this allows us to: discuss from a theoretical-conceptual perspective the meaning of Good Living Xokó through literature; explain the community matrix of Bem Viver through the succession of leadership in Caiçara and bring contributions about what is understood as Bem Viver Xokó. This investigation will be carried out based on bibliographical research, through a qualitative approach, with an inductive method and, later, using the comparative method to expand the scope of the data, being analyzed by the method of interpretation of meanings and interpreted by the hermeneutic-dialectic proposal, supported by specialized literature. The readings that underpin the work are based on interdisciplinarity between liberation authors (Martin Baró and Paulo Freire), decolonial studies (Aníbal Quijano) and indigenous authors (Ailton Krenak, Gersem Baniwa). Through this research, it was possible to understand that the development of the of ancestry, has a fundamental importance in the survival of the ethnic group beyond the present time.
