Regulação emocional, transtornos de ansiedade e/ou depressivos em pacientes com e sem queixa de enxaqueca

The purpose of this study was to study the relationship between Emotional Regulation (ER), anxiety disorders (AD) and / or depressive disorders (DD) in patients with migraine. Two studies were carried out to reach this proposal. The objective of Study I was to carry out an integrative review of the national and international literature on the studies that focused on the relationship between migraine, AD and / or DD in scientific journals in health and psychology. At the end of study I it was confirmed that DD and AD commonly occur as comorbid to migraine and that migraine is more common in females. The aim of Study II was to analyze the relationship between ER, anxiety and / or depression symptoms and the presence of migraine complaint. For this, we investigated the occurrence of symptoms related to AD and / or DD in patients with and without complaint of migraine. Subsequently, the use of ER strategies of the participants was examined and, finally, the relationship between ER and symptoms related to AD and / or DD was analyzed comparing two groups: subjects with and without complaint of migraine. In the results, it was observed that 57% of the people obtained positive result for migraine in ID-Migraine ™. About the association between sex and migraine, it was found that women presented migraine more commonly than men, besides being twice as likely to have a migraine complaint. As for the relationship between migraine and anxiety, it was found that among those who had a positive diagnosis in HADS, the vast majority were in the migraine group and were almost four times more likely to be in the migraine group. Finally, it was observed that the comparison between the variables of emotional regulation (cognitive reassessment and emotional suppression) and migraine showed no statistically significant difference between the groups.
