This research was dedicated to examining the universe of Graduate Program coordinations, considering how these management instances position themselves in relation to the informational flow, including the process of filling out the Sucupira Platform, understood as a strategic instrument for CAPES evaluation and for the institutional sustainability of the programs, especially in light of the transformations expected in postgraduate policies in the coming years. The central question of the research is: how can information mediation contribute to the academic information management of Graduate Programs at the Federal University of Sergipe? The general objective is to support Graduate Program coordinations in managing informational flows through information mediation, based on the development of the product “coordenaPosSEMcaos” Manual. To achieve this, the following specific objectives were established: a) investigate the history and regulatory frameworks of postgraduate studies in Brazil, with an emphasis on the relationship with Information Science; b) relate information mediation as a process that supports information management in Postgraduate Programs; c) map the information related to regulations, guidelines and the management and evaluation system carried out by CAPES, including the challenges arising from the discontinuation of the current version of the Sucupira Platform; d) develop the “coordenaPosSEMcaos” manual aimed at PPG secretaries and managers, aiming to assist in the management of program information, with a focus on the discontinuation of the Sucupira Platform. The adopted methodology is characterized as action research of an applied nature, with a qualitative approach, and is classified as exploratory-descriptive regarding its objective. The sources used to support the analyses were collected through bibliographic and documentary research and the application of questionnaires. The research problem design, the definition of objectives, and the proposal of the technical product were carried out through an organizational strategic diagnosis using the SWOT Matrix. The justification for this research lies in its contribution to studies that enable the understanding and enhancement of information ediation and information literacy within organizational labor contexts, applying models to everyday situations. The research seeks to open new avenues for scientific investigation, innovation, public policies, and strategies. Furthermore, it aims to give visibility to the operational management team and its important contribution to the advancement of Stricto sensu graduate programs. The research demonstrated that information mediation is a strategic element for strengthening information management in graduate programs, particularly in the processes of data entry, updating, and monitoring within the Plataforma Sucupira. The study revealed gaps in information flows and in the integration among institutional systems, proposing the digital manual “coordenaPosSEMcaos” as a technical and formative support tool. This product contributes to optimizing processes, promoting collaborative communication, and aligning information management with CAPES evaluation requirements, positioning itself as a replicable model for other institutions.
