Resumo: The objective of this work was to test, in a grain production environment in the coastal tablelands of Sergipe, the hypotheses that the soil quality (QS) at depth is altered (i) by the continued residence time of Urochloa decumbens in systems integrated with corn, (ii) by the insertion of soybean in rotation in the corn and U. decumbens integration system, and (iii) by the Urochloa species used in the integration. For this, five treatments were evaluated (notillage corn in monoculture; integration of corn with U. decumbens, M+Ud; rotation between M+Ud with soybean; M+Ud with pasture permanence in the following two years, and integration of corn with U. ruziziensis with permanence on pasture for the next two years) from a nine-year experiment. Soil samples collected from 0-10, 10-20 and 20-40 cm in depth were evaluated for mechanical resistance to penetration, average diameter and stability of aggregates in water, organic matter, total porosity and soil density. Data were submitted to univariate and multivariate analyses, in this case, to compose a synthetic QS gradient. In the more superficial layer, the increase in the continuous permanence time of Urochloa for up to 19 months promoted QS, with stabilization observed after this period. This increase in QS at other depths was linear from 0 to 26 months, decreasing with depth. Still about the U. decumbens permanence time, it reduced penetration resistance throughout the period evaluated, with similar behavior, regardless of the depth evaluated. The soybean insertion in rotation with corn integrated with U. decumbens or the choice of the Urochloa species in integration with corn did not affect QS. The Urochloa permanence in the system improved the soil quality along the profile, the insertion of rotation with soybeans and the choice of the Urochloa species did not interfere in the quality of the coastal tablelands evaluated soil.

Para isso foram avaliados cinco tratamentos (plantio direto de milho em monocultivo; integração de milho com U. decumbens, M+Ud; rotação entre M+Ud com soja; M+Ud com permanência do pasto nos dois anos seguintes, e integração de milho com U. ruziziensis com permanência do pasto nos dois anos seguintes) de um experimento com nove anos. Avaliaram-se amostras de solo coletadas de 0-10, 10-20 e 20-40 cm de profundidade quanto à resistência mecânica à penetração, diâmetro médio e estabilidade de agregados em água, matéria orgânica, porosidade total e densidade do solo. Os dados foram submetidos a análises univariadas e multivariadas, neste caso, para compor um gradiente sintético de QS. Na camada mais superficial, o aumento do tempo de permanência contínua da Urochloa por até 19 meses promoveu a QS, com estabilização observada após esse período. Esse aumento da QS nas demais profundidades foi linear de 0 a 26 meses, decrescendo com a profundidade. Ainda sobre o tempo de permanência da U. decumbens, reduziu a resistência à penetração ao longo do período avaliado, com comportamento similar, independente da profundidade avaliada. A inserção da soja em rotação com o milho integrado com U. decumbens ou a escolha da espécie de Urochloa em integração com o milho não impactaram a QS.
