Resumo: The relationship between city, heritage and people is a complex relationship, and is an essential task for those who think about cultural issues. The objective of this research is to investigate the tracks of the popular culture group Cacumbi of Mestre Deca, based on pathographies, to understand the relationships between city, belonging, place and heritage in the city center of Laranjeiras - SE. To develop this research, theoretical studies were carried out, through bibliographical surveys that permeate popular cultures, belonging and place. The experimental field research was developed based on the paths that the group takes in the city, to understand the perception of the popular culture players about the space of the city of Laranjeiras. To obtain the research data, interviews with the players, pathographies prepared from the monitoring of processes, documentary research, and systematic observation were conducted, which helps in understanding the players' approach to the city. Based on the interviews, reflections were made on the categories of belonging and place. Based on this research, the paths of Cacumbi, led by Mestre Deca, were recorded, as well as its relevance as a popular culture group for the constant appreciation of the group for Laranjeiras and for the popular culture of Sergipe.

O objetivo dessa pesquisa é investigar rastreios do grupo de cultura popular Cacumbi do mestre Deca, a partir de caminhografias, para compreender as relações existentes entre cidade, pertencimento, lugar e patrimônio no centro da cidade de Laranjeiras – SE. Para o desenvolvimento dessa pesquisa foram realizados estudos teóricos, através do levantamento bibliográfico que permeiem sobre culturas populares, pertencimento e lugar. A pesquisa experimental de campo foi elaborada a partir dos percursos que o grupo caminha na cidade, para compreender a percepção dos brincantes de cultura popular sobre o espaço da cidade de Laranjeiras. Para obtenção dos dados da pesquisa foram elaboradas, entrevistas com os brincantes, caminhografias elaboradas a partir do acompanhamento de processos, pesquisa documental, e observação sistemática, que auxilia na compreensão da aproximação dos brincantes com a cidade. A partir das entrevistas se refletiu sobre as categorias de pertencimento e lugar.
