Além disso, relaciona o Patrimônio Industrial aos componentes do objeto da pesquisa, a partir da identificação da estética industrial presente nos elementos arquitetônicos, tal qual o uso de grandes galpões, frontões triangulares, lanternim e chaminés em tijolos aparentes. Outrossim, são temas desta dissertação as mudanças urbanas ocorridas no século XX, como a construção da Ponte Hercílio Luz, a verticalização das edificações na área central, o aterro na baía sul e as consequências para o entorno da fábrica. Um inventário dos componentes fabris foi elaborado visando o registro documental deste acervo patrimonial.Abstract: This study addresses the structuring of the industrial complex part of the Rita Maria Complex, protected by Municipal Decree (N° 270/1986), the occupation and urban evolution of Desterro, the expansion of the foundational nucleus to the edges of the city, the role of the Hoepcke Company in the local economy and it approaches the preservation of cultural heritage in Florianopolis, especially of this complex located near Forte Sant'Anna and the city's port area. Furthermore, it relates the Industrial Heritage to the components of the object of the research, based on the identification of the industrial aesthetics present in the architectural elements, such as the use of large sheds, triangular pediments, lanterns and chimneys in exposed bricks. Some of other themes of this dissertation are the urban changes that occurred in the twentieth century, such as the construction of the Hercilio Luz Bridge, the verticalization of buildings in the central area, the landfill in the south bay and the consequences for the surroundings of the factory.
