“O sopro da mina”: o documentário como estímulo ao desenvolvimento e à educação patrimonial no geoparque Caçapava

Resumo: This research proposes the thematization of audiovisual production in documentary as a contributing element to endogenous development through heritage education. In this sense, the proposal aligns with discussions in the field of Cultural Studies, grounded in essential concepts such as identity, culture, hegemony, and language. As it is linked to a Professionalizing Graduate Program in Cultural Heritage, History and Cultural Heritage Research Line, the general objective is to produce a documentary audiovisual work that seeks to present and valorize the mining identity of the Camaquã Mines geosite, through heritage education. The mentioned field is one of the geosites of the Caçapava Geopark, and its community originated with a strong connection to mining activities, marked by the memory of the golden period of copper exploration in its territory. The central theme of the film should be guided by cultural issues related to the field of study, with the audiovisual product serving as an articulating element between theoretical studies and the practice of representation through the combination of sound and image. The problem guiding this research can be summarized in the following statement: "How can the production of an audiovisual documentary contribute to endogenous development through heritage education?" Thus, based on the research findings, it was possible to relate theoretical cultural and identity concepts to audiovisual production applied to documentary production. This movement of creating a dialogue between academic studies and audiovisual production is seen as a potential enhancer of representations and meaning creation, particularly from a critical perspective grounded in the methodology discussed by Cultural Studies.

Nesse sentido, a proposta se alinha a discussões no campo dos Estudos Culturais, alicerçada em conceitos essenciais como identidade, cultura, hegemonia e linguagem. Por estar vinculado a um Programa de Pós-Graduação em Patrimônio Cultural, Linha de Pesquisa História e Patrimônio Cultural, com foco profissionalizante, o objetivo geral é o de produzir uma obra audiovisual documental que busque apresentar e valorizar a identidade mineira do geossítio das Minas do Camaquã, pela via da educação patrimonial. O campo citado é um dos geossítios do Caçapava Geoparque Mundial da UNESCO, sendo sua comunidade originada com forte relação com a atividade mineira, marcada pela memória do período áureo da exploração de metais em seu território. O tema central do filme deve ser orientado por questões culturais do campo a ser estudado, sendo o produto audiovisual elemento articulador entre os estudos teóricos e a prática de representação, por meio da articulação entre som e imagem. O problema que norteia esta pesquisa pode ser sintetizado no seguinte enunciado: “Como a produção de um documentário audiovisual pode contribuir ao desenvolvimento endógeno pela via da educação patrimonial”? Dessa forma, a partir do resultado da pesquisa, foi possível relacionar conceitos teóricos culturais e identitários com o fazer audiovisual, aplicado para a produção de documentário.
