Resumo: | The adolescence can assume different characteristics according to history, society and culture. Thus, in the contexts of urban peripheries, the exclusion and social vulnerability can be constituted as crossings of the adolescents‟ experiences. From these specificities, it becomes important to reflect about the rights of this population and the best ways of listen to them in their needs, in order to consolidate and guarantee these rights. Thereby, the objective was to listen to adolescence experiences, wais of life and perceptions about the rights of adolescents in a context of social vulnerability. To this end, a qualitative research with eleven adolescents, from twelve to fourteen years old, students of a philanthropic school located on the periphery of a city in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul was realized. In this school, semi-structured interviews were first conducted and, based on the emerging themes, two focus groups were planned. The interviews and the groups had their audios recorded and later transcribed. The analysis was made using the thematic content analysis method, and the data was triangulated. It should be noted that ethical precepts were attended in this research, obtaining approval from the Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. As main results, there are some singularities that were presented by the participants regarding the meanings of adolescence, such as: the abandonment of playing upon the arrival of responsibility as a demarcator of becoming an adolescent, the urgency to work as a result of the precarious socio-economic situation, the differentiation between the “service” and “dream” as future projects. In addition, regarding the perceptions about rights, although they expressed an initial estrangement, the participants demonstrated a critical and questioning stance, claiming the rights to choice, expression, freedom, work, among others. It can also be perceived the necessity of feeling listened and valued in their opinions. Thus, it is understood the importance of spaces where adolescents can not only talk and share experiences, but also spaces of effective social participation and consideration of their voices. Still, it is necessary discussing about work for adolescents in its interface with education and with public policies that mitigate the urgency of the contribution to family income. Finally, the singularities of these adolescents need to be considered, so that they can be participatory agents and transformers, transposing, in the daily challenges, the vulnerabilities that arise. |

Thus, it is understood the importance of spaces where adolescents can not only talk and share experiences, but also spaces of effective social participation and consideration of their voices. Still, it is necessary discussing about work for adolescents in its interface with education and with public policies that mitigate the urgency of the contribution to family income. Finally, the singularities of these adolescents need to be considered, so that they can be participatory agents and transformers, transposing, in the daily challenges, the vulnerabilities that arise.A adolescência pode assumir diferentes características de acordo com a história, com a sociedade e com a cultura. Sendo assim, nos contextos das periferias urbanas, a exclusão e a vulnerabilidade social podem se constituir como atravessamentos das experiências adolescentes. A partir dessas especificidades, torna-se importante refletir sobre os direitos dessa população e as formas de melhor escutá-la em suas necessidades, a fim de consolidar e garantir esses direitos. Desse modo, objetivou-se escutar as experiências da adolescência, os modos de vida e as percepções sobre direitos de adolescentes inseridos em um contexto de vulnerabilidade social. Para tal, realizou-se uma pesquisa de caráter qualitativo com onze adolescentes, de doze a catorze anos, estudantes de uma escola de cunho filantrópico localizada na periferia de uma cidade do interior do Rio Grande do Sul. Nessa escola, foram realizadas, primeiramente, entrevistas semiestruturadas individuais e, a partir das temáticas emergentes, foram planejados e realizados dois grupos focais. As entrevistas e os grupos tiveram seus áudios gravados e posteriormente transcritos. A análise foi feita a partir do método da análise de conteúdo temática e procedeu-se a triangulação do material. Salienta-se que os preceitos éticos foram atendidos nesta pesquisa, obtendo aprovação do Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. Como principais resultados, têm-se algumas singularidades apresentadas pelos participantes no que tange aos significados da adolescência, como: o abandono da brincadeira mediante a chegada da responsabilidade como demarcador do tornar-se adolescente, a urgência em trabalhar em decorrência da precária situação socioeconômica, a diferenciação entre o “serviço” e o “sonho” como projetos futuros. Além disso, com relação às percepções sobre direitos, ainda que tenham manifestado um estranhamento inicial os participantes demonstraram uma postura crítica e questionadora, reivindicando os direitos à escolha, à expressão, à liberdade, ao trabalho, entre outros. Pode-se perceber, também, a necessidade de se sentirem escutados e valorizados em suas opiniões. Entende-se, assim, a importância de espaços em que os adolescentes não só possam falar e compartilhar experiências, como também espaços de efetiva participação social e consideração de suas vozes. Ainda, é preciso discutir acerca do trabalho para os adolescentes na sua interface com a educação e com políticas públicas que amenizem a urgência da contribuição com a renda familiar. Por fim, as singularidades desses adolescentes precisam ser consideradas, a fim de que eles possam ser agentes participativos e transformadores, transpondo, nos desafios cotidianos, as vulnerabilidades que se apresentam.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências Sociais e HumanasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em PsicologiaUFSMBrasilPsicologiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAdolescênciaExclusão socialDireitosVulnerabilidade socialAdolescenceSocial exclusionRightsSocial vulnerabilityCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::PSICOLOGIA“Uma pessoa pequena com ações pequenas pode mudar o mundo”: escutando modos de vida e percepções sobre direitos de adolescentes em contextos vulneráveis“A small person with small actions can change the world”: listening to ways of life and perceptions about the rights of adolescents in vulnerable contexts.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisArpini, Dorian Mônicahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7359875094778140Gurski, Roselene RicachenevskyJanczura, Rosanehttp://lattes.cnpq.br/1134219693612244Missio, Joana700700000001600600600f8628869-3096-4a73-827f-aa6f01da02ee701580e2-4773-43b6-ad37-c32427e1c24639c775db-fc46-460d-a364-f7da5ef411f18d2aa9de-8820-4de3-bc37-d9e067ffc427reponame:Manancial - Repositório Digital da UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGPSICOLOGIA_2020_MISSIO_JOANA.pdfDIS_PPGPSICOLOGIA_2020_MISSIO_JOANA.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf1252997http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/23216/1/DIS_PPGPSICOLOGIA_2020_MISSIO_JOANA.pdf925046ec486a73f92464fd686f7a782aMD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
