Resumo: The teaching of Cell Biology in high school faces some difficulties, which include the complexity of the topic, its abstract character, difficulties in visualizing what is studied, among others. To overcome these barriers, it is necessary to search for alternative methodologies that promote a better learning of cytology by students, which use their previous conceptions on the subject. The healing process, as it is a cellular process and is related to the daily lives of students, can present itself as an alternative to this demand. The present work seeks to present a teaching proposal that consists in the development of a didactic sequence on the healing mechanism to work on cell biology in high school, based on the students' previous conceptions, in order to promote a more meaningful learning. Subsequently, a workshop was made with biology teachers, which aimed to present the didactic sequence to them and thus apply a questionnaire to assess it, based on the teachers' conceptions. The results showed, firstly with the ninth year students, that they have abstract conceptions about the healing process, which are based a lot on past experiences, but without being able to make many connections with Cell Biology. As for the results of the workshop with the teachers, we could observe a great acceptance of the teachers to the sequence, which generated a positive validation for it to be applied in the classroom in the future.
