Resumo: The aim of this research was to compare the effects of an exclusive Tounge Coupling exercise, and its association with the MTT® elastic bandage on the suprahyoid muscles of young women. This is a prospective, quantitative and experimental research, which include 14 women such as sample, between 19 and 25 years old (average of 24.1 years old). AMIOFE-E protocol complemented with the MGBR protocol was used to speech-language clinical evaluation, the structural analysis of tonus and resting tongue posture. The swallowing test was used to evaluate of functional aspect. In addition, the signal of the electrical activity of the suprahyoid muscles was captured during resting situation, maximum voluntary contraction and swallowing of liquid pre and post intervention. Finally, the electrical activity of the suprahyoid muscles during the tongue coupling was recorded during15 seconds to obtain a parameter for recording the pre- therapeutic condition of the participants. Miotool equipment of eight channel was used to electromyographic examination. The intervention was distributed using randomization, to the participants allocating them in two proposals. The Experimental Group performed muscle training of three series three times a day, tounge coupling for 15 seconds during a week, associated with the use of the Therapy Taping®, bandage without tension, on the suprahyoid muscles, while the Control Group performed only the muscle training of tongue coupling. For the result analysis, the Shapiro Wilk Test was applied to investigate normality of data obtained. In the same way, Student's T tests, Wilcoxon Test, U-Mann-Whitney Test and Friedman's ANOVA tests used, all considering a significance level of 5% for all tests. Because of this study, no statistically significant differences were found in the myoelectric activity of the suprahyoid muscles in the comparison of the pre and post intervention values in situations of rest, deglutition and maximum voluntary contraction, in both groups and between them. In addition, the application of elastic bandage without tension did not generate variability in the results, due to the responses in both groups were similar. In relation to the values of the electrical activity during the training, carried out before and after last week, statistical significance was not observed. Regarding the assessment of the bandage, perception, through the questionnaire of appreciation of the method, was evidenced that the participants perceive modifications and positive impressions in relation to the use of the bandage. At the end of the treatment, the members of the experimental group will indicate improvement in the perceptions of the study region. The results of this research will allow concluding that this improvement proposal, for this target population, did not have an effect on muscular electrical activity, but rather positive qualitative results in relation to the perception of the stimulated area.

Trata-se de uma pesquisa prospectiva, quantitativa e experimental, com uma amostra de 14 mulheres, entre os 19 e 25 anos (média de 24,1 anos). Foi realizada a avaliação clínica fonoaudiológica a partir do uso do protocolo AMIOFE-E, complementado com o Protocolo MGBR, para a análise estrutural do tônus e postura de língua em repouso. O aspecto funcional foi avaliado por meio da prova da deglutição. Realizou-se também a captação da atividade elétrica dos músculos supra- hióideos, durante as situações de repouso, contração voluntária máxima e deglutição de líquido, pré e pós-intervenção. Finalmente, foi registrada a atividade elétrica da musculatura supra-hióidea durante o acoplamento de língua por 15 segundos, para se obter um parâmetro de registro da condição pré- terapêutica das participantes. Para o exame eletromiográfico foi utilizado equipamento Miotool de oito canais. A intervenção foi distribuída por randomização nas participantes alocando-as em duas propostas. O Grupo Experimental realizou treinamento muscular de três series, três vezes ao dia, por uma semana do acoplamento de língua por 15 segundos, associado ao uso da bandagem do Método Therapy Taping®, sem tensão, na musculatura supra-hióidea, enquanto o Grupo Controle realizou apenas o treinamento muscular de acoplamento de língua. Para a análise aplicou-se o Teste Shapiro-Wilks para investigação da normalidade dos achados. Na sequência foram aplicados os testes Qui-Quadrado, T de Student, Teste de Wilcoxon e Teste U-Mann-Whitney e Testes ANOVA de Friedman, todos considerando nível de significância de 5%. Como resultados, não foram encontradas diferenças estatisticamente significativas da atividade mioelétrica dos músculos supra-hióideos ao comparar os valores pré e pós-intervenção nas situações de repouso, deglutição e contração voluntária máxima, em ambos os grupos e entre eles. Além disso, a aplicação da bandagem elástica sem tensão não gerou variabilidade nos resultados, visto que as respostas em ambos os grupos foram semelhantes. Em relação aos valores da atividade elétrica durante o treino, realizado antes e após uma semana, também não se observou significância estatística. Quanto à avaliação da percepção da bandagem, através do questionário de apreciação do método, evidenciou- se que as participantes perceberam modificações e impressões positivas em relação ao uso da bandagem. Ao final do tratamento, as integrantes do grupo experimental indicaram melhora na percepção na região alvo do estudo. Os resultados desta pesquisa permitiram concluir que esta proposta de treinamento, para esta população alvo, não gerou efeito na atividade elétrica muscular, embora tenham se evidenciado resultados qualitativos positivos em relação à percepção da área estimulada.porUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências da SaúdePrograma de Pós-Graduação em Distúrbios da Comunicação HumanaUFSMBrasilFonoaudiologiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessEletromiografiaTerapia miofuncionalPercepçãoBandagem elásticaLínguaTongueElectromyographyMyofunctional therapyPerceptionElastic bandageCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::FONOAUDIOLOGIAAnálise eletromiográfica da musculatura supra- hióidea pré e pós uso de bandagem elástica em mulheres jovensElectromiographic analysis of suprahyoid musculature pre and post use of the therapy taping® method elastic bandage in young womeninfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisStella, Angela Ruviaro Busanellohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/3609865328274481Gomes, ErissandraXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXBolzan, Geovana de PaulaXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXGomez, Yulieth Paulina Stave400700000003600d5e5bc80-2851-4ca9-bbbf-b5571f3b7f8bacf5602a-0186-4b98-ad1c-d12f4c56e428283ad22f-a6df-48e5-8e88-60ec42d7e661472cc93c-2c67-4450-b861-82ddc2f07e78reponame:Manancial - Repositório Digital da UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGDCH_2021_GOMEZ_YULIETH.pdfDIS_PPGDCH_2021_GOMEZ_YULIETH.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf2121688http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/20974/1/DIS_PPGDCH_2021_GOMEZ_YULIETH.pdfadc83f93399e29215205cc9ab33dbd3eMD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
