Resumo: | Brazil currently produces around 460,000 tons of tobacco per year, ranking among the largest producers in the world. Since 1993, it has been the world's largest tobacco exporter, by volume. Tobacco cultivation is developed in more than 600 municipalities in the three states of the Southern Region. In rural areas alone, tobacco occupies more than 638,000 direct jobs — in addition, processing plants and cigarette factories employ more than 40,000 people. In this sense, a technically and economically viable alternative was sought for the use of tobacco seed for the production of aviation biofuel. So far there is no such use of seeds, which need to be removed through manual pruning. Mechanical technology is not available in the Brazilian market to assist agricultural producers in this arduous work, which is performed even in the traditional tobacco production crop. Several research projects are underway in several countries with the purpose of implementing the use of bioenergy in air transport. Aviation biokerosene is a fuel derived from renewable sources, and studies carried out show that it is feasible to obtain it from tobacco seed. The objective of this work is to develop equipment that cuts and collects the tobacco flower for further processing. Therefore, the fundamental characteristic of this equipment is the ability to cut and harvest only the plant's flowers, preserving the leaves, as they will regrowth, thus eliminating manual or chemical pruning used in the crop. The equipment allows the removal and collection of the upper part of the plant through a rotor mechanically driven by a hydraulic system. This system is mounted on a platform pulled by a micro tractor and which cuts the plant stalk and directs it towards the rear of the machine, depositing it on a mobile structure coupled to the machine, which allows for further processing. In tests carried out in the field, the equipment fulfilled the objective, having a very satisfactory result by simplifying and reducing the farmer's exposure time in the field, which is quite harmful to his health. This technology, when fully fulfilling its function, becomes viable for production by the metal-mechanical sector; there is, therefore, the possibility that it will be used in the development of a commercial product. |

This technology, when fully fulfilling its function, becomes viable for production by the metal-mechanical sector; there is, therefore, the possibility that it will be used in the development of a commercial product.O Brasil produz atualmente, cerca de 460.000 toneladas de tabaco por ano, colocando-se entre os maiores produtores do mundo. Desde 1993, é o maior exportador mundial de fumo em volume. A cultura do tabaco é desenvolvida em mais de 600 municípios dos três Estados da Região Sul. Somente no meio rural, o fumo gera mais de 638.000 empregos diretos — além disso, as usinas de beneficiamento e as fábricas de cigarros empregam mais de 40.000 pessoas. A partir desse cenário, buscou-se uma alternativa técnica e economicamente viável para o aproveitamento da semente de tabaco na produção de biocombustível de aviação. Até o momento, não existe esse aproveitamento das sementes, que necessitam ser retiradas através do desponte manual. Não se tem disponível, no mercado brasileiro, tecnologia mecânica para auxiliar os produtores agrícolas nesse trabalho, que é executado mesmo na cultura tradicional de produção de fumo. Estão em curso, na Itália e África do Sul, vários projetos de pesquisa em diversos países com o propósito de implementar o uso da bioenergia no transporte aéreo. O bioquerosene de aviação é um combustível derivado de fontes renováveis, e alguns estudos demonstram que é viável a sua obtenção a partir da semente de tabaco. O objetivo deste trabalho, portanto, foi o de desenvolver um equipamento que corta e recolhe a flor do tabaco para posterior processamento. Sendo assim, a característica fundamental desse equipamento é a capacidade de cortar e colher apenas as flores da planta, preservando as folhas, pois haverá rebrota delas, eliminando-se, então, o desponte manual ou químico utilizado na cultura. O equipamento permite a retirada e o recolhimento da parte superior da planta através de um rotor acionado mecanicamente por um sistema hidráulico. Esse sistema fica montado em uma plataforma tracionada por um micro trator, que corta o talo da planta e o direciona para a parte posterior da máquina, depositando-o em uma estrutura móvel acoplada à máquina, o que permite seu posterior processamento. Em testes desenvolvidos a campo, o equipamento cumpriu com o objetivo, tendo um resultado muito satisfatório ao simplificar e reduzir o tempo de exposição do agricultor na lavoura, que é bastante danoso a sua saúde. Essa tecnologia, ao cumprir plenamente sua função, passa a ter sua produção viável pelo setor metalmecânico; existe, assim, possibilidade de que seja empregada no desenvolvimento de um produto comercial.porUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências RuraisPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia AgrícolaUFSMBrasilEngenharia AgrícolaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessTabaco energéticoColheita de tabacoBioquerosene para aviaçãoSementes de tabacoEnergetic tobaccoTobacco harvestBiokerosene for aviationTobacco seedsCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::ENGENHARIA AGRICOLAConcepção de um equipamento para o desponte e recolhimento das flores da planta de tabaco: contribuições para a mecanização da culturaDesign of equipment for cuting and gathering flowers from the tobacco plant: contributions to the crop mechanizationinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisRomano, Leonardo Nabaeshttp://lattes.cnpq.br/1310558353123248Dallmeyer, Arno UdoBuenos, Alexandre AparecidoValdiero, Antonio CarlosHoelzel, Carlos Gustavo Martinshttp://lattes.cnpq.br/8835220423267024Marques, Jorge Luiz Rodrigues5003000000086006006006006006006005656d18f-6fea-4b67-9b1f-112e34999ac1b415ce30-02eb-4b34-b084-9b4afd439fa0b7ee0acb-1024-41f9-88f7-85310134a6ed877d84bb-885a-4f99-902d-e2636c362a7216f3fd4c-c5de-44d0-98d8-270f6b977983d04f85ca-a35f-456a-8deb-bf342a5f7daereponame:Manancial - Repositório Digital da UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALTES_PPGEA_2021_MARQUES_JORGE.pdfTES_PPGEA_2021_MARQUES_JORGE.pdfTeseapplication/pdf8577379http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/24096/1/TES_PPGEA_2021_MARQUES_JORGE.pdf6b99cda6e897450b0723ef1b03869283MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
