Resumo: | Rice (Oryza sativa L.) yield potential is defined by the availability of solar radiation during the growing season. The reduction of solar radiation pointed out by future climate change scenarios and in “El Niño” years in Southern Brazil can reduce crop yield. The objectives of this study are to indicate at which development phase the productivity is most penalized as a result of solar radiation restriction, and to estimate how much the crop fails to produce on a cloudy day at each development phase. Were used screens with 24%, 36% and 43% restriction intensity of incident solar radiation at vegetative, reproductive and grain filling phases besides a control treatment with 0% solar radiation restriction. The field experiments were conducted at 4 sites (Cachoeirinha, Santa Maria, Agudo e Itaqui) during the growing seasons 2017/18 e 2018/19 in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. We identified that the penalty on productivity as a result of solar radiation restriction is more intense during grain filling (142,1 kg ha-1dia-1), followed by the reproductive phase (126,1 kg ha-1dia-1) and vegetative phase (28,1 kg ha-1dia-1). These results are important to optimize the sowing date management and to direct genetic improvement programs in the search for more efficient cultivars in the solar radiation use. |

A redução na disponibilidade de radiação solar devido as mudanças climáticas e em anos de El Niño no Sul do Brasil podem reduzir a produtividade do arroz. Os objetivos deste estudo são: 1) determinar a fase do desenvolvimento em que a produtividade é penalizada pela restrição de radiação solar e 2) quantificar a redução de produtividade em um dia nublado nas fases vegetativa, reprodutiva e enchimento de grãos. Foram utilizadas telas com 24%, 36% e 43% de restrição da radiação solar incidente nas fases vegetativa, reprodutiva e de enchimento de grãos, além de um tratamento testemunha. Os experimentos foram conduzidos em 4 locais (Cachoeirinha, Santa Maria, Agudo e Itaqui) nas safras 2017/18 e 2018/19 no Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. A penalização na produtividade devido à restrição de radiação solar foi maior na fase de enchimento de grãos (142,1 kg ha-1dia-1), seguida da fase reprodutiva (126,1 kg ha-1dia-1) e vegetativa (28,1 kg ha-1dia-1). Estes resultados são importantes para otimizar o manejo da época de semeadura e para direcionar os programas de melhoramento genético na busca de cultivares mais eficientes no uso da radiação solar.porUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências RuraisPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia AgrícolaUFSMBrasilEngenharia AgrícolaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessOryza sativa L.Restrição de radiação solarProdutividadeDesenvolvimentoSolar radiation restrictionShadingYieldCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::ENGENHARIA AGRICOLARestrição de radiação solar na produtividade de arroz irrigadoSolar radiation restriction on flooded rice yieldinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisZanon, Alencar Juniorhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7337698178327854Streck, Nereu AugustoHeinemann, Alexandre BryanSilva, Michel Rocha dahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7267117874592134Rossato, Ioran Guedes50030000000860060060060058307035-b49c-4cd8-b0c7-93cc1905cb1f03398753-291c-43c8-afc3-67eda05a07c056a426d2-4602-48e2-a27a-90c939a6b1584792205c-4b56-4d26-b8ed-5581840f3c3fa6e4664e-a51b-42f5-a61f-ad031612d9e7reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGEA_2021_ROSSATO_IORAN.pdfDIS_PPGEA_2021_ROSSATO_IORAN.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf1512902http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/23340/1/DIS_PPGEA_2021_ROSSATO_IORAN.pdfb678ed5f54866d5e7706167f733117c6MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
