Resumo: The goal of this paper was to estimate the calcium (Ca) and phosphorus (P) requirements of Texel lambs. 42 entire male lambs from Texel breed were used, weaned at 50 days of age, with an initial mean live weight (LW) of 21.2 kg, housed in individual stalls. Of the total, 6 were slaughtered after the 14-day adaptation period, while 24 animals were fed ad libitum and slaughtered at 25, 30, 35 or 40 kg LW. 12 animals were submitted to two levels of feed intake (70 or 55% of the intake ad libitum) and were slaughtered simultaneously with those lambs fed ad libitum and slaughtered at 40 kg LW. In the samples of the empty body composition, the phosphorus (P) contents were determined by spectrophotometer (colorimeter) and calcium (Ca) by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The amount of mineral retained in the body was estimated as a function of the concentration of this nutrient in the samples. From these data, the regression equations for body composition were obtained. The maintenance requirement was calculated from the regression analysis between the minerals retained in the empty body of the animals submitted to the food restriction, as a function of the amount of each mineral consumed by the animals. The net requirements of macro minerals for LW gain were obtained by deriving the logarithmic allometric equation from the body's mineral content. Statistical analyzes were performed using SAS program (2014). The net requirements for maintenance in animals between 25 and 40 kg live weight were 1.1 g Ca/day and 0.52 g P/day and the net requirements per kg live weight gain for animals with 25 and 40 kg live weight were 7.98 and 7.30 g Ca and 3.06 and 2.96 g P, respectively. The requirements found are lower than those recommended by the international councils.

Foram utilizados 42 cordeiros, machos não castrados, da raça Texel, desmamados aos 50 dias de idade, com peso vivo (PV) médio inicial de 21,2 kg e confinados em baias individuais. Do total de cordeiros, 6 foram abatidos após concluído o período de 14 dias de adaptação, os outros 24 animais foram, alimentados ad libitum e abatidos aos 25, 30, 35 ou 40 kg de PV, 12 animais foram submetidos a dois níveis de oferta de alimento, 6 consumiram 70% e outros 6 consumiram 55% do consumo ad libitum. O abate dos animais submetidos à restrição alimentar ocorreu juntamente com aqueles alimentados ad libitum e abatidos aos 40 kg de PV, independente do peso em que se encontravam. Nas amostras dos componentes do corpo vazio foram determinados os teores de fósforo (P) com leitura por espectrofotômetro (colorímetro) e cálcio (Ca) por espectrofotometria de absorção atômica. A quantidade do mineral retido no corpo do animal foi estimada em função da concentração deste nutriente nas amostras analisadas. A partir destes dados, foram obtidas as equações de regressão para a composição corporal. As exigências líquidas de macrominerais para ganho de PCV foram obtidas derivando-se a equação alométrica logaritmizada do conteúdo corporal do mineral. A exigência de mantença foi calculada a partir da análise de regressão entre os minerais retidos no corpo vazio dos animais submetidos à restrição alimentar, em função da quantidade de cada mineral consumida pelos animais. As análises estatísticas foram realizadas por meio do programa SAS (2014). As exigências líquidas de mantença, para animais entre 25 e 40 kg de peso vivo, foram 1,1 g de Ca/dia e 0,52 g de P/dia e as exigências líquidas por kg de ganho de peso vivo, para animais com 25 e 40 kg de peso vivo, foram de 7,98 e 7,30 g Ca e 3,06 e 2,96 g P, respectivamente. As exigências nutricionais encontradas são inferiores as preconizadas pelos conselhos internacionais.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências RuraisPrograma de Pós-Graduação em ZootecniaUFSMBrasilZootecniaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessCrescimentoExigênciasMantençaMacromineraisOvinosGrowthRequirementsMaintenanceMacro mineralsSheepCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::ZOOTECNIAExigências nutricionais de cálcio e fósforo para mantença e ganho de peso de cordeiros TexelCalcium and phosphorus requirements for maintenance and Weight gain of texel lambsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisPires, Cleber Cassolhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/5811435302893655Saccol, Ana Gabrielahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/3550413713638568Geraseev, Luciana Castrohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/1368116583439163http://lattes.cnpq.br/1360032622573118Alves, Emanuelle Vargas50040000000260038c91256-5016-4aa4-a3bc-9059a5224a0e5fc9c054-ab94-4ecb-83cf-069872b32ada8ae02b6e-aa59-4cab-b1f0-6269637bd0554720ceda-283c-4511-abf1-6e6faa6cb338reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALAlves, Emanuelle Vargas.pdfAlves, Emanuelle Vargas.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf309595http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/11350/1/Alves%2c%20Emanuelle%20Vargas.pdff18cb1dc847744310310234651047928MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
