Resumo: Dark tourism and cemeterial tourism are constituted as distinctive segments in contemporary tourism, adding social and cultural practices that promote unconventional activities and attractions, bringing together a certain historical narrative of places, events and people as well as the memory produced around them, highlighting a certain form of heritage, history and even art. This research proposes, through Heritage Education, a visiting circuit to the Municipal Ecumenical Cemetery, where its architectural works, the history of the city and its personalities become a great open-air museum. To understand this new segment of dark tourism and cemeterial tourism in the city of Santa Maria there will be an explanatory booklet about issues of history, memory and belonging of the city and region, as well as, information on tourism and its segments related to the topics covered in the construction of the research, the dissertation and the final product of the Master's Degree in Cultural Heritage at the Federal University of Santa Maria.
