Resumo: This work was developed under the research line School Practice and Public Policy, the Graduate Program in Education, the Federal University of Santa Maria, with the theme of university extension. This, in general, assumes an extension offer perspective, linear, in which are offered to the community results that, oftentimes, have little relation to actual problems of the local/regional community. In this context this research problem emerged: How do the extension projects of the Federal University of Pampa, Campus Alegrete, contemplate the guidelines of the Institutional Project in the relationship between university-society in general, local and regional culture? The overall objective was to examine how the extension projects of the Federal University of Pampa, Campus Alegrete, contemplate the guidelines of the Institutional Project according to the references of Paulo Freire and Latin American Thought in Science, Technology and Society (PLACTS). In terms of methodological rating the research is qualitative, case study type. The corpus analysis was composed of drafts of extension projects registered in UNIPAMPA between the years 2008-2012 and the analysis technique was the Textual Discourse Analysis, made of three stages: unitarization, categorization and communication. The results were synthesized into three interrelated categories, which are: extension offer conception, inseparability Teaching-Research-Extension and University-Society link. The first one showed three trends, representing the extension offer character of most projects, which are: knowledge provision with a focus on dissemination/diffusion of Science-Technology, offering expertise with a focus on courses and training and adjusted offer by social demands. The second category showed three interrelated conditions that, to a greater or lesser extent, hampers effective joint between Education-Research-Extension. They are: the extension offer character associated with the extension, the extension on curriculum and conceptual aspects of the university extension. In the third category three signals were discussed in the research corpus, which may be associated with processes of "redness" on societyuniversity articulation, at UNIPAMPA, Campus Alegrete. They are: extension as knowledge exchange between university-society, social demands identification by extension and extension and social transformation.

They are: extension as knowledge exchange between university-society, social demands identification by extension and extension and social transformation.Esta pesquisa foi desenvolvida no âmbito da linha de pesquisa Práticas Escolares e Políticas Públicas, do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação, da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, com o tema da extensão universitária. Esta, em linhas gerais, assume uma perspectiva ofertista, linear, na qual são ofertados à comunidade resultados de pesquisa que, muitas vezes, possuem escassa relação com os efetivos problemas da comunidade local/regional. Nesse contexto surgiu o presente problema de pesquisa: Como os projetos de extensão da Universidade Federal do Pampa, Campus Alegrete, contemplam as orientações do Projeto Institucional na relação universidade-comunidade em geral, cultura local e regional? O objetivo geral consistiu em analisar de que modo os projetos de extensão da Universidade Federal do Pampa, Campus Alegrete, contemplam as diretrizes do Projeto Institucional segundo os referenciais de Paulo Freire e do Pensamento Latinoamericano em Ciência, Tecnologia e Sociedade (PLACTS). Em termos de classificação metodológica a pesquisa é qualitativa, do tipo estudo de caso. O corpus de análise foi composto pelas minutas dos projetos de extensão registrados na UNIPAMPA, nos anos de 2008 a 2012 e a técnica de análise foi a Análise Textual Discursiva, constituída de três etapas: unitarização, categorização e a comunicação. Os resultados foram sintetizados em três categorias inter-relacionadas, que são: Concepção Ofertista, Indissociabilidade Ensino-Pesquisa-Extensão e Articulação Universidade-Comunidade. A primeira apresentou três tendências, representativas do caráter ofertista da maioria dos projetos, que são: oferta de conhecimentos com foco na divulgação/difusão da Ciência-Tecnologia, oferta de conhecimentos com foco em cursos e treinamentos e oferta ajustada por demandas sociais. A segunda categoria apresentou três condicionantes inter-relacionados que, em maior ou menor intensidade, dificultam uma articulação efetiva entre Ensino-Pesquisa-Extensão. São eles: o caráter ofertista associado à extensão, a extensão no currículo e aspectos conceituais da extensão universitária. Na terceira categoria foram discutidas três sinalizações presentes no corpus da pesquisa, que podem ser associadas a processos de avermelhamento na articulação universidade-comunidade, na UNIPAMPA Campus Alegrete.
