This study is linked to the Graduate Program in Cultural Heritage – Professional Master’s Degree in the field of History and Cultural Heritage. Caravanism is understood as a tourism activity in which travelers use vehicles adapted to serve as accommodation during their journeys. The general objective of this research was to characterize, encourage, and strengthen the inclusion of caravanism within the territory of the Quarta Colônia Geopark, contributing to the institutionalization of a “Support and Hospitality Network for Caravanism.” Specifically, the study aimed to: (a) identify the sociodemographic and technical profile of caravanists in the region; (b) inventory the existing support points within the territory; and (c) develop a digital guide for caravanists containing georeferenced information on formal and informal support points, as well as details on the infrastructure and services offered. Data collection involved exploratory-descriptive methods, supported by questionnaires, bibliographic, telematic, and field research. Caravanism was identified as a tourism modality with great potential to promote sustainable tourism, particularly through the integration of cultural, gastronomic, and nature-based experiences. The research revealed that, although the territory presents a basic infrastructure oriented toward tourism, there is still a lack of specific support points for caravanists operating year-round, which limits the full development of the activity. As a final outcome, a digital guide was produced to promote the existing support points and encourage caravanism within the Quarta Colônia Geopark, aiming to contribute through tourism to sustainable development and to the promotion of the region’s cultural heritage.
