Resumo: When Justus von Liebig sought to claim the scientific lens on the natural processes of agriculture, he introduced a new way of thinking and doing agriculture, and through this advent of chemical agriculture the process of fixing the nitrogen engendered in the HaberBosch process brought about substantial changes both for agricultural land and for battlefields that undermined the first half of the 20th century in Europe. Nowadays, with food trends that are increasingly concerned with the socio-environmental issues that permeate the production process, we can glimpse the decay of hegemonic models of food production. Biodynamic agriculture, a precursor of the organic movement, was introduced to the world for the first time by the agricultural course taught by Rudolf Steiner in 1924. However, his extemporaneous wisdom is biased towards crossing the challenges imposed by the modernity model of progress, through agriculture committed to sustainable practices. To this end, the present work goals to understand the certification process of Biodynamic products that carry the Demeter seal, apprehending the perception of the agents involved with the Biodynamic movement as well as the factors that build this market. Qualitative and quantitative data were used, as well as research was carried out: bibliographic; bibliometric; documentary. The tools used in the field to obtain data were semi-structured interviews and questionnaires with open and closed questions. The sample units were biodynamic agricultural units and institutions linked to the certification process. After obtaining the data, the information obtained was triangulated to achieve the objectives. It was learned about the history and conjuncture of the Biodynamic movement in Brazil, as well as the perception of the actors regarding the certification process and the different faces of the two certification systems, the audit and the participatory system, where limiting and positive points of each one were pointed out. systems. The perception of these agents regarding the domestic market for Biodynamic products and the profile of those who consume these products was also raised. Subsequently, the impressions were compared with the quantitative data of the questionnaires that sought to build a socioeconomic profile of consumers. These data were also compared with the survey of food trends conducted by Brasil Food Trends 2020 and the survey conducted with consumers of organic products from Organis Brasil. Thus, issues related to the Brazilian market for organic products and the legitimacy surrounding the act of consumption related to these products were explained. Finally, there was a demonstration of different views on the existence of Steiner's principles on the Demeter label, which ended up demonstrating the diversity of thoughts and conflicts inherent in the dispute that occurs within and outside the Biodynamic movement. Since the Biodynamic market is not isolated, but connected with economic interests that plague its roots.

Since the Biodynamic market is not isolated, but connected with economic interests that plague its roots.Quando Justus von Liebig buscou reivindicar a lente científica sobre os processos naturais da agricultura, ele introduziu uma nova forma de pensar e fazer agricultura, e por meio desse advento da agricultura química o processo de fixação do nitrogênio engendrado no processo Haber-Bosch trouxe mudanças substanciais tanto para os solos agrícolas quanto para os campos de batalha que minaram a primeira metade do século XX na Europa. Atualmente, com tendências alimentares cada vez mais preocupadas com as questões socioambientais que permeiam o processo produtivo, podemos vislumbrar a decadência de modelos hegemônicos de produção de alimentos. A agricultura Biodinâmica percursora do movimento orgânico se apresentou ao mundo pela primeira vez pelo curso agrícola ministrado por Rudolf Steiner em 1924. Entretanto, sua sabedoria extemporânea se faz um viés para atravessarmos os desafios impostos pelo modelo de progresso da modernidade, por meio de uma agricultura comprometida com práticas sustentáveis. Para tanto, o presente trabalho busca compreender o processo de certificação dos produtos Biodinâmicos que carregam consigo o selo Demeter, apreendendo a percepção dos agentes envolvidos com o movimento Biodinâmico e os fatores que constroem esse mercado. Foram utilizados dados qualitativos e quantitativos, assim como foi realizada pesquisa: bibliográfica; bibliométrica; documental. As ferramentas utilizadas a campo para a obtenção dos dados foram às entrevistas semiestruturada e a aplicação de questionários com perguntas abertas e fechadas. As unidades amostrais foram unidades agrícolas biodinâmicas e instituições ligadas ao processo de certificação. Após a obtenção dos dados foi realizado a triangulação das informações obtidas para o cumprimento dos objetivos. Foi apreendido sobre a história e conjuntura do movimento Biodinâmico no Brasil assim como a percepção dos atores referente ao processo de certificação e as distintas faces dos dois sistemas de certificação, a auditoria e o sistema participativo de garantia, onde foram apontados pontos limitantes e positivos de cada um dos sistemas. Também foi levantado a percepção desses agentes quanto ao mercado interno de produtos Biodinâmicos e o perfil daqueles que consomem esses produtos. Posteriormente, as impressões foram comparadas com os dados quantitativos dos questionários que buscaram construir um perfil socioeconômico dos consumidores. Esses dados também foram comparados com a pesquisa de tendências alimentares realizadas pela Brasil Food Trends 2020 e a pesquisa realizada com consumidores de produtos orgânicos da Organis Brasil. Desta forma, foram explanadas questões referentes ao mercado brasileiro de produtos orgânicos e as legitimidades que circundam o ato de consumo referente a esses produtos. Por fim houve a demonstração de diferentes visões sobre a existência dos princípios de Steiner no selo Demeter, que acabou por demonstrar a diversidade de pensamentos e os conflitos inerentes à disputa que ocorre dentro e fora do movimento Biodinâmico. Uma vez que o mercado Biodinâmico não se encontra isolado, mas conectado com interesses econômicos que assolam suas raízes.Conselho Nacional de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico - CNPqporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Ciências RuraisPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Extensão RuralUFSMBrasilExtensão Rural e DesenvolvimentoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessBiodinâmicaDemeterConstrução social dos mercadosCertificaçãoBiodynamicsSocial construction of marketsCertificationCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::AGRONOMIA::EXTENSAO RURALA certificação na construção contra-hegemônica do mercado de produtos Demeter: a Agricultura Biodinâmica sob a égide da legalidadeThe certification in the counter-hegemonic construction of the Demeter products market: Biodynamic Agriculture under the aegis of legalityinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisDorr, Andrea Cristinahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/1165079585483396Froehlich, José MarcosFranco, Fernando Silveirahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/6198308276546595Vargas, Rayan Scariot500100600007600600600600600b418646e-beef-49c0-92d7-033fffd69e2310e95129-4857-44bf-9ac2-30282b673101decae85d-61e3-4231-9ff7-28c7d03effe69edf1fba-402f-427b-91e5-da07057b32b3reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMCC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
