Resumo: | This doctoral thesis presents the development of an analythical method to characterize the parasitic elements and surface temperatures in a synchronous boost power converter. Initially is presented the bibliography review punctuating the inherent challenges and scientific researches developed in the power electronics research field in the evolution of DC/DC power conconverters design, like power density, switching frequency, efficiency and reliability increasing. From this point further study on high frequency power converters is made, highlighting power losses and negative effects which occur in the electrical circuit. Furthermore, are evaluated the impacts of the power converter PCB layout in the definition of parasitic elements and the thermal behavior of the constituent elements. After building the theoretical foundation is developed an analythical method which quantifies the parasitic elements and the surface temperature of the main power converter elements in a synchronous boost before its prototyping process in two distinct PCB layouts, with different surface area, cooper thickness, PCB thickness and pcb path dimensions. The analythical method was validated through experimental measurements in two physical prototypes and FEA simulation developed with Ansys Icepak and Ansys Q3D softwares. The obtained results are satisfactory and provide and improvement to the state of the art of high power density and efficient power converters design. |

Inicialmente apresenta-se a revisão bibliográfica contemplando os desafios e pesquisas científicas desenvolvidas no campo da eletrônica de potência na evolução dos conversores estáticos CC/CC, como o aumento da densidade de potência, aumento da frequência de comutação, o aumento do rendimento dos dispositivos eletrônicos e a confiabilidade. A partir disto, aprofunda-se o estudo sobre o comportamento dos conversores estáticos comutados em altas frequências, destacando as perdas e efeitos negativos que ocorrem no circuito elétrico. Ainda, avaliam-se os impactos do layout da PCB dos conversores na definição dos elementos parasitas do circuito elétrico e o comportamento térmico dos elementos constituintes do conversor. Após a construção do embasamento teórico deste tema, desenvolveu-se um método analítico que quantifica os elementos parasitas e as temperaturas superficiais dos principais elementos de um conversor boost síncrono antes da sua prototipação desenvolvidos em dois distintos layouts, com valores diferentes de áreas superficiais, espessura total, espessura dos planos condutores e dimensões das trilhas. Validou-se o método analítico através de medições experimentais em dois protótipos físicos e ferramentas de engenharia assistida por computador (CAE) através da análise por elementos finitos (FEA) desenvolvidas nos softwares Ansys Icepak e Ansys Q3D. Os resultados obtidos são satisfatórios e proporcionam um incremento ao estado da arte no projeto de conversores estáticos com maiores densidades de potência e rendimento.porUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de TecnologiaPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia ElétricaUFSMBrasilEngenharia ElétricaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessEletrônica de potênciaAltas frequências de comutaçãoOtimização de conversores estáticosEMIElementos parasitasFEAAnálise térmicaPower electronicsHigh switching frequencyPower converters optimizationPCB parasitic elementsThermal analysisCNPQ::ENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA ELETRICAModelagem eletrotérmica e caracterização de elementos parasitas de placas de circuito impresso de conversores estáticos CC/CCEletrothermal design methodology for DC/DC power converters printed circuit board (PCB)info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisPinheiro, José Reneshttp://lattes.cnpq.br/2333794966860226Sartori, Hamiltom ConfortinBender, Vitor CristianoTahim, André Pires NóbregaLenz, João Manoelhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/3804984370305592Piovesan, Tális3004000000076006006006006005979e88f-0899-4b78-afd6-cb650a3ececd7e3cbff5-1e3f-4db5-b4b9-7c2aa6f717817c320be8-6812-4be2-9a00-6b20ba32dac5909dfafd-ce5e-4746-a054-0ed139d72ee682c863dc-c166-4982-9493-2932f7e659b789e1da58-ccee-4bfb-80df-1e9bf01f3d48reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALTES_PPGEE_2021_PIOVESAN_TALIS.pdfTES_PPGEE_2021_PIOVESAN_TALIS.pdfTese de Doutoradoapplication/pdf15181268http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/22727/1/TES_PPGEE_2021_PIOVESAN_TALIS.pdf7e3fb05c023baceb4a7a48c1fbc9620eMD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
