Resumo: The workers of the Hospital Service of Cleaning (SHL) are exposed the pain incident musculoesquelética (DME), due to present risk situations in the context laboral, that can interfere with quality of life (QV). Among these situations, they detach the excessive force, repeatability, unsuitable physical postures, in addition to ergonomic conditions and of the environmental factors. This study had since objective valued the relation between DME and QV at workers of the SHL of a Public University Hospital in Rio Grande do Sul/ Brazil. It is the question of a cross study that used the database of the Matrix Project “"Assessment of Working Conditions and Health of Hospital Service Workers of Cleaning”, approved in the Committee of Ethics in Inquiry of the UFSM, under the CAAE: 3106313.1.0000.5346, on the 26th of February of 2013. The population was constituted by 157 workers. The data collection was carried out through form containing the data sociodemográficos, you labor, habits and health, instrument for evaluation of the QV (SF-36) and a question referring to DME, in the period of March to June of 2013. For the insertion of the data the Epiinfo® was used, version 6.4, with pair digitação independent. After the correction of mistakes and inconsistencies, the analysis of the data was carried out in the PASW® (Predictive Analytics Software) 18.0 will be Windows, using the descriptive and analytical statistic, testing the association between the DME, QV and the too variable ones. Was considered significant association when p <0.05. As results, there was obtained the prevalence of DME, reported in the last seven days to the interview, of 70,1 %. After the analysis adjusted by confounding factors, obtained that the workers of the SHL with age group between 19 and 34 years, those who do not have and that sometimes have time for leisure showed higher prevalence rates of DME, when too many groups were compared to. The powers of the instrument SF 36, with bigger correlation with the DME, were a Vitality and Functional Capacity. Workers with higher prevalence of DME have lower scores in all dimensions of the QV. These results signal the presence of symptoms musculoesqueléticos considerable in the activities you labor of the workers of the SHL, linked to the work and who have negative effects in the QV. In this sense, it is necessary to think about the questions of organization of the work, besides the projection of actions of promotion and prevention to health, in order to prevent the incident of DME and minimize the implications in the QV of the workers.
