Resumo: Urinary incontinence is characterized by involuntary loss of urine and although not inherent in aging, mainly affects women over 65 years. Its consequences can lead to depression, social isolation and other factors that directly affect the quality of life of those affected. When talking about questionnaires for urinary incontinence, most report the impact it promotes on people's lives, but little is said about screening methods to intervene before symptoms worsen. OBJECTIVES: To analyze the presence of stress urinary incontinence and urinary urinary incontinence using the Gaudenz-Fragebogen differential diagnosis instrument in communitydwelling elderly women. METHODS: This is a cross-sectional, analytical, probabilistic study, linked to the institutional research “Comprehensive Care for the Elderly”. To obtain the variables of interest will be used a structured interview, prepared by the researchers that will address the socio-demographic profile and clinical health conditions and the Gaudenz- Fragebogen Instrument. The research protocol will be applied in the home space. The data obtained will be compiled and analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) (version 22.0). RESULTS: The final sample of this study was 86 women with a mean age of 73.72 ± 8.3 (95% CI 71.9 - 75.5) with a minimum age of 62 and a maximum of 95 years. It was observed that more than half of the elderly women reported involuntary loss of urine, which is more prevalent in stress situations in equal proportion, in emergency situations. More than a third of the elderly experience this situation less than 10 years; and this situation became a problem when losses began. About a quarter of the sample quantifies that urine leaks occur one to four times. Of the elderly women with voiding problems, around 30% use some type of protection to prevent accidents; most use occasionally; and this situation for the elderly is not a cause for social withdrawal. When asked if it was more difficult to control urine by coughing, straining, sneezing, or laughing, most responded in the affirmative; coughing being the most reported in difficulty. Almost 30% of older women report loss when they run, jump or walk. And less than 20% reported that urine loss worsens if sitting or standing still. When asked about whether there is anything that can be done to reduce or prevent accidents, 22.7% of the elderly answered “yes”. However, a percentage of 22.1% answered that they did not know how to reduce or prevent urine leakage; When asked about treatments for UI 18.6% of the elderly reported having been treated for this condition before; of these 8.1% reported success. It was asked about the use of exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor as a treatment measure only 10.5% reported yes. Of the elderly women who answered that they had already tried to perform the exercises, 5.8% answered that they were successful. Of the respondents, 79.1% never had a gynecological surgery; of those who performed 6% was for genital prolapse repair, and 5.9% hysterectomy. With the application of the Gaudenz Fragebogen Instrument, most of the elderly women were classified as SUI. CONCLUSIONS: The Gaudenz-Fragebogen Instrument had limitations, as it only classifies UI between SUI or UI and does not also classify SUI, thus leaving a large number of women found in this study without classification. Further studies with this questionnaire are necessary.

Further studies with this questionnaire are necessary.A incontinência urinária é caracterizada pela perda involuntária de urina e embora não seja inerente ao envelhecimento, acomete principalmente as mulheres com mais de 65 anos. Suas consequências podem gerar depressão, isolamento social e outros fatores que interferem diretamente a qualidade de vida de quem é acometido. Quando se fala em questionários para incontinência urinária a maioria relata o impacto que ela promove na vida das pessoas, porém, pouco ainda se fala sobre métodos de rastreamento para que haja uma intervenção antes de os sintomas se agravarem. OBJETIVOS: Analisar a presença de incontinência urinária de esforço e incontinência urinária de urgência aplicando o instrumento de diagnóstico diferencial Gaudenz-Fragebogen em idosas residentes na comunidade. MÉTODOS: Trata-se de um estudo transversal, analítico, probabilístico, vinculado à pesquisa institucional “Atenção Integral à Saúde do Idoso”. Para a obtenção das variáveis de interesse será utilizado uma entrevista estruturada, elaborada pelos pesquisadores que abordará o perfil sócio demográfico e as condições clínicas de saúde e o Instrumento Gaudenz-Fragebogen. O protocolo de pesquisa foi aplicado no espaço domiciliar. Os dados obtidos foram compilados e analisados por meio do Software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) (versão 22.0). RESULTADOS: A amostra final desse estudo foi de 86 mulheres com média de idade de 73,72±8,3 (IC 95% 71,9 – 75,5) com idade mínima 62 e máxima 95 anos. Observou-se que mais da metade das idosas referiram perda de urina de forma involuntária, sendo esta mais prevalente em situações de esforço em igual proporção, em situação de urgência. Mais de um terço das idosas vivenciam essa situação a menos de 10 anos; e essa situação tornou-se um problema quando iniciaram as perdas. Em torno de um quarto da amostra quantifica que os escapes de urina ocorram de uma a quatro vezes. Das idosas que apresentam problemas miccionais, em torno de 30% utilizam algum tipo de proteção para evitar acidentes; a maior parte utiliza ocasionalmente; e essa situação para as idosas não é motivo de afastamento social. Quando questionadas se era mais difícil controlar a urina ao tossir, se esforçar, espirrar ou rir, a maioria das respondeu de forma afirmativa; sendo o ato de tossir o mais relatado na dificuldade. Quase 30% das idosas relatam perda quando correm, pulam ou caminham. E um percentual inferior a 20% relatou que a perda de urina piora se ficar sentada ou parada. Quando questionadas quanto ao conhecimento se há algo que se possa fazer para reduzir ou evitar acidentes 22,7% das idosas responderam que “sim”. Contudo um percentual de 22,1% respondeu que não conhecia formas de reduzir ou evitar perdas de urina; Quando questionadas sobre tratamentos para incontinência urinária 18,6% das idosas relataram já terem sido tratadas para esta condição anteriormente; dessas 8,1% relataram ter tido sucesso. Foi perguntado sobre a utilização de exercícios para o fortalecimento do assoalho pélvico como medida de tratamento somente 10,5% relataram que sim. Das idosas que responderam que já haviam tentado realizar os exercícios 5,8% responderam que obtiveram sucesso. Das entrevistadas 79,1% nunca realizaram uma cirurgia ginecológica; das que realizaram 6% foi para correção do prolapso genital, e 5,9% histerectomia. Com a aplicação do Instrumento Gaudenz Fragebogen a maior parte das idosas foi classificada com IUE. CONCLUSÕES: O Instrumento Gaudenz-Fragebogen apresentou limitações, pois apenas classifica a incontinência urinária entre de esforço ou urgência não classificando também a incontinência urinária mista, deixando assim um grande número de mulheres encontradas neste estudo sem classificação, é necessário mais estudos com este questionário.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESporUniversidade Federal de Santa MariaCentro de Educação Física e DesportosPrograma de Pós-Graduação em GerontologiaUFSMBrasilCiências da SaúdeAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessIncontinência urináriaEnvelhecimentoFemininoProgramas de rastreamentoUrinary incontinenceAgingFemaleMass screeningCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDEEstudo da incontinência urinária de esforço e incontinência urinária de urgência em idosas na comunidadeinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisBerlezi, Evelise Moraeshttp://lattes.cnpq.br/8373298120143786Franz, Ligia Beatriz Bentohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7967146155959284Dallepiane, Loiva Beatrizhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/5570695730349223http://lattes.cnpq.br/8142474053399328Bevilaqua, Laura Appel4000000000016002d2104c7-e232-473e-a04c-26fb5f4666aa8c649606-4fb2-4395-bec5-871789b2353088d40ff8-cc14-4fe5-b1b4-0a90f9093e30bc3a4cf6-0c4f-47b1-a78f-7362cf56cdc1reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações do UFSMinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMORIGINALDIS_PPGGERONTOLOGIA_2019_BEVILAQUA_LAURA.pdfDIS_PPGGERONTOLOGIA_2019_BEVILAQUA_LAURA.pdfDissertação de Mestradoapplication/pdf733799http://repositorio.ufsm.br/bitstream/1/19124/1/DIS_PPGGERONTOLOGIA_2019_BEVILAQUA_LAURA.pdf015b19c70c00db101247201e41ea7c53MD51CC-LICENSElicense_rdflicense_rdfapplication/rdf+xml;
