A Obra Apresenta Interesse Porque Une Filosofia E Poesia Na Análise Do Soneto De Michelangelo, Bem Como Trata Filosoficamente Das Artes Do Desenho, Reivindicando Para Elas A Condição De Artes Liberais E Dissolvendo A Disputa Travada Entre Pintores E Escultores, A Propósito Da Maior Nobreza Da Pintura Ou Da Escultura " Seguindo A Tradição De Teoria De Arte Estabelecida A Partir Do Xv. Varchi Resolve A Referida Disputa, Que Ficou Conhecida Como O Paragone Das Artes, Pelo Estabelecimento De Um Princípio Único E Intelectual Sob O Qual Residem Pintura E Escultura, Ou Seja, O Disegno. The Work Presents Novelty Because It Unites Philosophy And Poetry In The Analysis Of The Sonnet Of Michelangelo, As Well As It Deals Philosophically With The Arts Of The Drawing, Claiming For Them The Condition Of Liberal Arts And Dissolving The Dispute Between Painters And Sculptors, On The Subject Of The Greater Nobility Of The Painting Or Sculpture. Varchi Resolves This Dispute, Which Became Known As The Paragone Of The Arts, By Establishing A Unique And Intellectual Principle Under Which Paint And Sculpture Reside, That Is, The Disegno.
